True to its word, Visceral Games’ new DLC for Battlefield Hardline, dubbed Robbery, will feature a brand new mode. It seems the focus of this DLC will be big scores and Visceral is adamant on delivering some killer heists this time around with the new Squad Heist mode, which supports 10 players total.

One group will be in charge of pulling off the heist while an opposing group has to stop it. It’s very similar to Squad Rush and involves the crooks drilling two vaults before making off with the cash. The cops, of course, have to stop them.

Along with Squad Heist, Robbery will feature four new weapons, two new gadgets, new factional vehicles and upgrades, new camos and vehicle shaders, the Legendary Super and of course, four new maps with The Docks, Break Pointe, Museum and Precinct 7.

Battlefield Hardline Premium members will receive Robbery in September so stay tuned for more updates.

If it felt like Visceral’s Battlefield: Hardline has been laying dormant since the release of the Criminal Activity DLC, then you’ll be happy to hear that the next DLC – Robbery – will be showcased at Gamescom 2015 in August.

Not only that but lead multiplayer designer Thad Sasser revealed on Twitter that the DLC would include a new mode for multiplayer. “Headed to GamesCom next month to show off DLC 2, Robbery! Some great new stuff to show off, including a sweet new game mode. Any guesses?”

There are currently seven game modes in Battlefield: Hardline but the emphasis on “new” makes us believe that it will be something the series hasn’t seen thus far. Could we see the return of a classic mode revamped for Hardline but named something else?

The Robbery DLC will include its share of new maps, weapons and gadgets like Criminal Activity. It will be the second DLC, likely releasing later next month, while the third DLC Getaway will be out in Fall 2016. The fourth DLC Betrayal is expected in early 2016.
