Ubisoft announced this news via an official tweet, and you can check that out down below.

Rocksmith+ is a subscription-based game that lets players learn guitar, bass, or piano by plugging in their real instruments and following along to on-screen prompts as you would get in a rhythm game like Guitar Hero. There’s a swath of licensed songs from a bunch of different genres to learn, and Ubisoft continues to add new arrangements on a weekly basis.

The exact details of the Steam release aren’t known at the moment, but there’s a good chance that it will be out sooner than later. For context, subscription plans are available at $14.99, $39.99, and $99.99 for 1, 3, and 12 months respectively.

It offers three subscription models – £12.99 per month,  £34.99 for three months, and £84.99 for 12 months. It will launch later this year on mobile devices.

Rocksmith+ launches with over 5,000 songs, but more songs will be added weekly, including hits from The Clash, Santana, Alicia Keys, and more. It features numerous tools to accommodate different skill levels, like Adaptive Difficulty, which adjusts to one’s skill level and adds new notes based on your progress. Some interactive lessons and recommendations are generated based on your goals and skill level.

Those who previously played Rocksmith 2014 or participated in the closed beta and purchased a three or 12-month subscription can avail of bonus time. They’ll receive one month free on the three-month plan and three months free on the 12-month plan. Stay tuned for more details on Rocksmith+ en route to release.

It’s now releasing in 2022 according to a new tweet by Ubisoft UK. This is in order to “ensure the best guitar learning service” and incorporate feedback from the closed beta.

Rocksmith+ was also slated to arrive this Autumn for consoles so it stands to reason that those versions have been pushed back even further. Announced during E3 2021, the service allows for learning the guitar across a wide range of genres from pop and hip-hop to R&B and Latin. It also includes chord charts, note for note arrangement and adaptive difficulty with progress tracking for beginners.

Users can also create their own arrangements for licensed songs with Rocksmith Workshop. A price point or subscription plans for Rocksmith+ were never announced so perhaps we’ll learn more about this in the near future. Stay tuned in the meantime for more information.

That seems to be Rocksmith+, a subscription-based service whose closed beta goes live today for PC. It will be available this Summer for PC and in Autumn for consoles.

Simply connect your guitar – whether it’s acoustic, electric or bass – and play your favorite tunes. All songs will have chord charts (with large amount of songs available at launch). Note for note arrangement will still be available and new arrangements will be available each week. Genres like pop, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and more will be available from big stars to indie artists.

Riff Repeater and adaptive difficulty are available, allowing one to slow down and repeat some of the trickier parts. There’s also more in-depth progress tracking for beginners. Rocksmith Workshop also allows users to create and add their own arrangements for licensed songs. Stay tuned for more details on the release of Rocksmith+ like the price tag.
