A trademark has recently been discovered for “Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit” in Europe, filed by Take Two Interactive on November 20th. The trademark pertains to “Computer and video game programs and software; downloadable computer and video game programs and software; downloadable digital materials” and came with the below image.

Releasing in 2006, Bully is an open world game which has you playing a student who enrolls in a private academy and just goes around, working your way up the ladder and eventually owning the school. It was a testament to Rockstar Games’ talent that it managed to create such a game without the need for violence, sex or profanity – which at the time were considering to be the only reasons that their games succeeded.

Though it’s been rumoured for a while now, is this a case of Take Two preparing for the eventual sequel? Or is it simply a matter of trademarking the badge, perhaps for use at a latter time? We’ll find out over the next few months.

Rockstar Games recently announced that it was dissolving the Vancouver division, responsible for the critically and commercially strong Max Payne 3, that recently released for PC, PS3 and XBox 360.

The move has been made to focus attention on Rockstar Toronto, though it’s anyone’s guess as to what The Warriors developer will be upto in the coming months. Rockstar has expressed interest in maintaining the team however.

As a result, the all 35 people of Rockstar Vancouver will be offered positions at Rockstar Toronto. They will also be adding 50 new positions to the Toronoto office in the coming months.

For now, all persons concerned seem to stil be employed. They’ll be shifting to a new office in Oakville, Ontario.

Aside from the recently released Max Payne 3 and the previous generation’s open-world Bully, Rockstar Vancouver was earlier known as Barking Dog Studios, responsible for Homeworld Cataclysm and Global Operations for PC before being acquired by Rockstar in 2002.
