New Crackdown in the works?

The Xbox One conference didn’t have that many games to show and instead was more focused on the console itself, Kinect and the TV integration.

However, while demoing the Xbox One interface, we can see a green orb that is from a well-known Xbox 360 game Crackdown. Does this mean that there is a new Crackdown game in the works for Xbox One?

Better question is if it is actually being developed, who’s making it because the original developer no longer exists.

Microsoft desperately needs some convincing exclusives if they wish to compete with Sony on the gaming level. Hopefully a new Crackdown is real and will be revealed at this year’s Microsoft Press Conference at E3.

Let us know what you think of a new Crackdown possibly coming to Xbox One.

Check back on GamingBolt for more news and updates regarding Xbox One.

Looks like Grand Theft Auto 5 will be coming to PC after all, PC fans rejoice!

German side of Amazon and retailers Games Only both have listed Grand Theft Auto V for PC. Grand Theft Auto 5 is confirmed for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and will be coming out later this Summer in September.

The PC version is still not officially confirmed, but Rockstar Games is well-known for releasing Grand Theft Auto games on PC a few months later after the console version comes out. Grand Theft Auto IV came out in April of 2008 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and a PC version came along in December in that same year. Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto III came out on the PlayStation 2 in October 2001 and then eventually a PC version arrived in May 2002.

You pretty much see the pattern that I am getting at, with that being said it’s very safe to assume that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on PC within 6 months after the console versions hit the store shelves.

According to the German website it’s also stated that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V will be an ‘Uncut Edition’ which will include the following items

SteelBook with exclusive Artwork

World map

Stunt-Planes challenges

Online-Store concessions

Bonus outfits

Bonus Tattoos

Special Abilities Booster

Exclusive weapons

However, the ‘Uncut Version” is currently unconfirmed and should be taken as a rumor

Stay tuned on GamingBolt for more information regarding the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V.

Alex Ward from Criterion Games debunked the rumor of a Need for Speed Underground reboot. A recent link suggested that the new Need for Speed title would take place in the original Bay-view setting just like the original Need for Speed Underground.

Alex has stated on Twitter: “Totally fake. Remakes and Reboots? #movedon”. He then later adds, “May as well add this. Sequels.Reboots. Remakes. Been there. Done that.”

Last game that was released by Criterion was the reboot of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which came out for multiple platforms in October 2012. The game was met with critical acclaim and we also showered praises on it. You can check our review here.

Question still remains, are they working on another reboot or making a totally brand new racing game? Stay tuned on GamingBolt for more information regarding the next title in the Need for Speed franchise. Leave any comments or opinions you have down below.

Next-Generation Xbox Launch Titles Unveiled?

Ryse was originally unveiled at E3 2010 for Xbox 360 as ‘Codename: Kingdoms’. Then, a year later at E3 2011 the project was unveiled as a Kinect project under the name ‘Ryse”. Ryse was advertised as a game that was set in ancient Rome, the title strongly suggested strong violence and gore and was to be controlled by using Kinect tracking systems.

But then Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said last year that it’s one of his “personal darlings so it’s going to be rock-solid and strong”.

Meanwhile, The Verge has been getting information from their sources, “Ryse is designed to be Microsoft’s new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title.”

Ryse will take full advantage of the Kinect’s body tracking system in the next-generation Kinect 2.0.

A zombie title title along with a family-friendly game that is set on an island with Pixar movie-like style graphics will also be a part of Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox 720 launch line up.

Also, The Verge was told that a brand new Forza game will feature “super life-like” graphics, and that the family pixar-like title will use Kinect to scan bodies and generate virtual characters in-game.

It has also been reported that third-party software will support the FPS genre strongly and that Microsoft will be getting away from Xbox Live’s Microsoft Points system to real money transactions instead.

We have previously reported that Microsoft might be unveiled the Next-Generation Xbox on May 21st 2013

Keep your eyes peeled on GamingBolt for more news regarding the Next-Generation Xbox. Stay tuned and post any comments you have done below.

BGR is reporting that the Next-Generation Sony console PS4 is going to be supporting 4K resolution. Sony is planning to introduce a 80 inch XBR LED 4K resolution TV sometime next year to start pushing out these next-generation of TVs to get their consumers up to new heights with technology in their living room.

Sony has already started selling 4K Blu-Ray players for $200, and it’s safe to assume that the PS4 is going to support 4K as well according to BGR’s source. 4K resolution means that it’s 4096 pixel-count going horizontal. Here is an image below to better see the difference between SD, HD, and 4K.

As you can see, 4K resolution is almost pretty much double the 1080p HD. This is going to be quite exciting to see Next-Generation graphics with such high aspect ratio. Hopefully Sony will start showing some stuff soon regarding their Next-Generation beast. Check back at GamingBolt for more upcoming news regarding Next-Generation consoles.

According to this German twitter account the person supposedly took an image of Half-Life 3 running on a monitor at Gamescom. Despite the fact that Half-Life 3 was removed from Valve’s Gamescom schedule last week maybe the game was shown off behind closed doors. Here is the translation of the twitter post in English (might not be fully correct)

“Seen game at gamescom. Monitor capture. Can not wait till NDA drops. Risk! Blablabla, Mr … -”

Here is the image of the leaked image that was taken by this person. If you look closely you can really tell the environment is very similar to Half-Life art direction. Underground environments with rails, staircases, and steel floors. The color palette of the overall scene is very much like the original Half-Life. You have your yellows, whites, metallic surfaces, and so on. This is all unconfirmed, but we all know Valve is cooking up something special.

The HUD is clearly missing from the image, however, in previous HL games at the start of the game you would never seen your HUD until you picked up a weapon or your hazard suit. This might be just one of the reasons to why we don’t see the HUD, another reason could be is that it’s just a tech demo of the interior levels from Half-Life 3 with the camera going in different place.

This is just a rumor, so please take this with a grain of salt, for all we know this can just be another unannounced game that is not Half-Life. Hopefully Valve will finally reveal something in the near future.

Alan Wake was an interesting case of expectations. No one knew what to really expect, so opinions were mixed. But there was a general consensus that it took too long to come out.

This hasn’t phased Remedy though, as evidenced by their DLC updates. Now, it seems we may be getting a sequel.

DSO Gaming reports that Remedy’s registration of the domain “ALANWAKE2.COM”, though dating back to 2005, has been recently updated. This is in tune with recent repors that Remedy is working on something new.

The question, however, is how viable this would be. Alan Wake was developed over a period of a several years, and didn’t exactly set the gaming market on fire. In fact, it gained notoriety at the time for selling less than a 100,000 units at launch. The series has since reached sales of 2 million, but it took 2 years to get to this point.

If it really is Alan Wake 2, then one wonders how things will turn out now.

Alright this is all based on a survey that was done, so nothing is concrete yet. We new that Forza Motorsport 4 would have Kinect support but now it could very well have a casual mode, driving cars with that invisible steering wheel, much like the Kinect racing game Joy Ride. Now for the topper according to this survey “A new no-assist expert mode was also mentioned, as well as more than 500 cars from 80 different manufacturers.” That is a shitload of cars, I don’t know if that too many to just what the doctor order when coming to a racing game. All this will be confirmed or denied soon enough but judging from the fact that we know that Forza 4 will wave Kinect support, I am leaning toward a 500 car packed racing game coming out for the Xbox 360 in Spring of this year. Forza 4 is already being said to be the most realistic racer on any console to date.

Alright well we already know that Jill Valentine from Resident Evil and Shuma-Gorath will be DLC characters for Marvel vs Capcom 3, free for people that pre-ordered the game. Now it would make sense for Capcom to release more characters seeing as how well the game has done and is doing. From the deepest darkest hole in the Capcom Headquarters sneaks out a pic of Frank West and Strider as characters in the game.. or maybe is just a fake pic with someone laughing it up somewhere. Either way it seems perfectly logical and plausible for these characters to be added to the roster for DLC. So you decide from the pic above that has been floating around the internet.
