A new trailer has just been released for Alan Wake.

In the video we can see that Alan Wake will be a very cinematic experience, using good use of lights and darks to make you jump. It’s difficult to discern much else from the trailer, but we can assume that the game will begin with you travelling into a remote area with a wife or girlfriend, before bad things start happening…..

In related news, Alan Wake for PC has been officially canned.

Microsoft stated:

Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen. We ultimately realised that the most compelling way to experience “Alan Wake” was on the Xbox 360 platform, so we focused on making it an Xbox 360 exclusive. Both Microsoft and Remedy have long histories in PC game development. This decision was about matching this specific game to the right platform.

Alan Wake releases for 360 on May 18th in the US and 21st in Europe.
