So many games start with a righteous bang following up with a fantastic build up, but so few retain this sense of pace for their ending. The Cave, Assassin’s Creed 3, Far Cry 3; a mere snapshot of games I’ve recently played have merely disappointed with their ending sections.

That’s just one end of the spectrum though, as plenty of contemporary titles have featured a fantastic climax. A lot of articles have been written on the best endings of all time, but we’re looking specifically at the young blood here: Ten games of the seventh generation with truly awesome endings. This list will (unsurprisingly) contain heavy spoilers.
