The upcoming adventure has been "completely redesigned" for playing "without interruption."

Dontnod Entertainment’s Twin Mirror received a new trailer at the PC Gaming Show and offered some more mystery behind protagonist Sam Higgs. However, information began circulating after the show about the game no longer being episodic. The developer has now confirmed the same in a press release.

“To further meet the expectations of the community and fans of narrative adventure games, the experience has been completely redesigned to allow players to enjoy this psychological thriller without interruption. Originally planned as an episodic game, Twin Mirror will be released in a single full experience in 2020.” This is likely the result of feedback for Life is Strange 2 which had long intervals between its episodes.

Said feedback also impacted Tell Me Why, Dontnod’s other upcoming adventure mystery title. It centers on twins Tyler and Alyson as they revisit their hometown and attempt to piece together childhood memories, with the player experiencing memories from each person’s point of view. While the game is still episodic, the development team is looking to release all three episodes by mid-2020 for Xbox One and PC.

As for Twin Mirror, it’s slated to launch later this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The PC version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store as Dontnod works on “accelerating the implementation of its development strategy towards more self-publishing and co-production”.

Video games, right? What other medium has you play as a team of four tiny alien parasites that infest the VHS collection of a lonely cinephile who lives in his mother’s basement? Epic Loon is an upcoming physics platformer from Ukuza, Macrales Studio, and Shibuya Productions, and it looks just as crazy as its premise.

The gameplay teaser, which you can watch below, shows some of the physics based gameplay with aliens flinging themselves around environments spoofed from classic films. The game is intended to be multiplayer and includes a battle mode, as well as an irreverent sense of humour and a style that invokes games that destroy the fourth wall like Pony Island.

This is the first game out of Indy developers, Macrales Studio, and it’s weird enough to have my full attention already. The quest to destroy Joe’s prized movie collection begins PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2018.

Tomorrow, who knows?

Ys Net’s Shenmue 3 hasn’t had a lot of information since it was first announced at E3 2015 and its Kickstarter successfully raised more than $6 million in crowd-funding. While publisher Shibuya Productions was dropping hints over the week about the game, hinting at a possible at E3 2016 appearance, that’s somewhat up in the air.

We say somewhat because Shibuya Productions president Cedric Biscay responded to a fan’s question on Twitter about gameplay at E3 with, “Today my answer is no.”

Does that mean tomorrow the answer will be different? That’s why it’s called a tease, we suppose. Then again, it’s highly possible that Shenmue 3 doesn’t appear. With Sony backing the project, thus facilitating a PS4 and PC release, you’d think the publisher would promote as much. Regardless, we’ll only find out when E3 arrives next week.

Would you like to see Shenmue 3 at E3 2016? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.

"We are preparing great things" according to Shibuya Productions' Cedric Biscay.

Ever since Shenmue 3‘s announcement at last year’s E3 and the subsequent funding it saw on Kickstarter, details have been rather quiet on the game. The odd few development updates have been released but we’re not closer to knowing an exact release date, both for PS4 and PC, than before.

That being said, it’s at least possible that Shenmue 3 appears at E3 2016. Shibuya Productions president and CEO Cedric Biscay, whose company is publishing Shenmue 3, has tweeted out a couple of interesting things lately. In one tweet with creator Yu Suzuki, Biscay said, “We are preparing great things.”

In the next tweet, he’s with Suzuki and others with the caption, “Big meeting for Big game! #shenmue3 cc @yu_suzuki_jp @ShibuyaProd”

Finally he tweeted, “Sorry for the teasing but I am playing #shenmue3 and I am loving it !!”

You might say there’s no real confirmation that Shenmue 3 makes an appearance but honestly, there’s no reason it shouldn’t, especially with teases happening this close to the expo. With the game occupying a very large stage last year, why wouldn’t it at least offer an update? Regardless, stay tuned for Sony’s E3 press conference on June 13th to learn more.
