A complete video walkthrough for King's Quest Chapter 5- The Good Knight.

The fifth chapter in Sierra’s King’s Quest reboot, The Good Knight, is now available. And this episode, like with previous episodes, requires you to navigate your way through the story, and to do it properly. Adventure games especially require full engagement from the player- you need to know what you are doing, and when you are doing it, or you’re going to mess your progress through the game up.

That’s where we come in, with this video walkthrough- whether you just want to watch a playthrough of the episode, or you actually want help and suggestions regarding how you should progress through it, the video walkthrough for King’s Quest Chapter 5- The Good Knight will help you. Just remember to be mindful of the fact that this walkthrough will have spoilers for the entirety of the episode, including its ending- so maybe be careful as you watch it, if you want to play the game blind.

Sierra and Activision have announced that the second episode, Rubble Without a Cause, in their reboot of the King’s Quest franchise, will be launching worldwide on December 16. This chapter takes players back to King Graham’s first test as the ruler of Daventry. When a band of goblins holds the kingdom hostage, a newly crowned and ill-equipped Graham must lead a daring rescue to free his people and prove himself the leader they deserve. The choices you make as Graham could have long lasting consequences for the future of the kingdom and its people- so be careful what you do, and why you do it.

To celebrate the impending launch of the second chapter, the first chapter is currently free for PlayStation owners on the PlayStation 4, as part of the PS+ Instant Game Collection, throughout the entirety of December.

King’s Quest is available now on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.

King’s Quest, the classic adventure game series from Sierra, just launched, with the first episode, A Knight To Remember, garnering a great response from critics and players, who felt like it adequately recaptured the essence of the older games.
The “Adventure Games Revival: King’s Quest Rebirth and Reveal” panel will take place on Friday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. in the Wyvern Theatre. In it, Creative Director Matt Korba and Producer Lindsey Rostal of The Odd Gentlemen will explore the modern renaissance of adventure games, and will delve into the highlights and challenges of reimagining one of the genre’s most treasured names before pulling the curtain back on King’s Quest’s next chapter, launching later this year.

Sierra's timeless classic returns in a new adventure.

The Odd Gentlemen’s revival of King’s Quest from Sierra is now available with the first chapter A Knight to Remember. It is currently available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 with the PS3 and PS4 versions expected to be live already.

King’s Quest follows the tale of King Graham who narrates his tales of bravery to his granddaughter Gwendolyn. Though it features a brand new art style, King’s Quest promises the same amazing puzzles and characters that best defined the series.

Matt Korba, president of The Odd Gentlemen and creative director on the game said that, “Today is a new beginning, both for those of us who grew up with the King’s Quest games that Roberta Williams and Sierra Entertainment created, as well as for those who are visiting Daventry for the very first time. We hope we’ve made something that feels special for everyone as we turn together to a new page in Graham’s legend.”

It should be noted that there are five chapters in total of King’s Quest. You can play all by either purchasing King’s Quest: The Complete Collection or through acquiring the season pass once after buying the first chapter. The Complete Collection will net you a bonus epilogue if you invest in it though.

The first chapter of the new King’s Quest game, which was announced alongside the resurrection of the Sierra label at The Game Awards last year, will be launching next month. Titled ‘A Knight to Remember,’ it will launch as a digital download on July 29 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. PC users, meanwhile, get to go hands on with the game early, on July 28.

That’s not all either, as Sierra today announced that a bundle (basically, think Season Pass for any other episodic series) of all five chapters, including a future bonus playable story epilogue, of the new King’s Quest – named King’s Quest: The Complete Collection – is now available to pre-order on the PlayStation Network and Steam. Pre-orders come to Xbox One next month.

The new King’s Quest game is the resurrection of a classic and beloved franchise, and has a lot riding on it; stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.

The King’s Quest reboot by the newly reformed Sierra will be releasing later this year, but until then, we’re being shown more and more of how the development on it is coming along. Given that King’s Quest is a beloved and classic property, developers have to be careful to treat it with respect, and try to make the new game as authentic as possible, while also modernizing it where necessary.

The newest developer diary for the game goes inside the studio for a listen at how story sets the tone for King’s Quest’s new soundtrack. For composer David Stanton, scoring a world teeming with as many fantastic creatures and strange personalities as King’s Quest demanded a thematic approach, one in which the unique essences of the characters inform the music that accompanies them. As an aging King Graham guides players back through the lost tales of his youth, those recurring motifs will be critical to exploring the people and events that shaped his destiny from humble beginnings to heroic nobility.

King’s Quest itself will be out for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC later this year. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.

Last year at The Game Awards, newly resurrected Sierra announced that it would be reviving the classic King’s Quest series of games with a brand new entry in the franchise. Today, they are sharing a new development diary that updates fans on the development process, and how it has been coming along. It’s called King’s Quest: A Hand Painted Game, and it takes you behind the scenes with Art Director Evan Cagle and Producer Lindsey Rostal of The Odd Gentlemen to see how the artwork of King’s Quest is born on the page before coming to life on screen.

The original King’s Quest games utilized a vivid and stark graphical style, that became a hallmark of the series; however, that style was borne as much out of the technology and limitations of that era, as it was out of artistic choice. To accurately replicate that look with the new game, the team is employing a similar technique to give this incredible reimagining of a classic tale the truly stunning storybook look it deserves.

King’s Quest will be out on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC later this year.

The beloved King’s Quest adventure game franchise will be returning, it was announced at The Game Awards in December last year. Legions of PC gamers who grew up in the golden age of PC gaming in the 1990s probably have fond memories of the original games, and have been looking forward to the new installment with a degree of enthusiasm.

They will be very pleased with this new developer diary, that takes us behind the scenes on the development of the new game, and gives us more information about it.

The developer diary is the first of four planned ones, so we should be getting regular updates on the game ahead of its release date. As for that, that has also finally been confirmed now. King’s Quest will be releasing digitally on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC later this year. Remember to stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.

Sometimes, a developer and publisher just knows how to do what’s best for their products and Sierra and Lucid Games is one such party. From today, by way of a free update, players of Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions can get an enhanced version of the game that has been titled Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved.

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved brings a single player adventure mode to the game that includes 40 new levels to battle through and even brand new boss encounters. There will be 3D grid shapes and objectives as well as a new drone called the Sweeper and a new super ability called the Detonator. This Evolved build of the game will also include a hardcore mode that will have 20 levels. These stages all have their own leaderboards for “die-hard, no-loadout Geometry Wars purists to tackle without a drone or super”

With all that being bundled into the game free of charge, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved now sports over 100 stages of gameplay split across multiple game modes as well as an expanded classic mode, bonus challenges, four player local cooperative play and online PvP for up to eight players.

You can pick this geometric gem up on PS4 and PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, PC, Mac and Linux via Steam. They really covered all the bases on this one, well played.

The acclaimed shooter from last year is coming to a console or computer near you.

FutureLabs’ excellent shooter/sidescroller, Velocity 2X, was one of the surprise hits of last year when it hit PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita; since it was a headlining title for PS+, and because Sony had invested so heavily in the game’s promotion, many had assumed that it would be remaining exclusive to PlayStation platforms for the foreseeable future. However, that assumption turns out to have been wrong, since the game, it has been announced, will be coming to Xbox One and PC this Summer.

The game will be hitting these platforms courtesy of the newly reborn Sierra; the Xbox One and PC versions will, according to Sierra, be the definitive versions of the game, since they will include all the DLC that has been released so far in the base package, in addition to also having exclusive daily challenges, to make the game’s leaderboards even more compelling.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
