Microsoft has announced the Smart Glass software with which you can connect the Xbox 360 console to a tablet. Result? Use the tablet as a remote for the Xbox 360 and navigate the Metro UI using it.

Internet Explorer is set to land on the Xbox 360 soon and with this software, you can use a touchscreen tablet to navigate it. Pretty cool, right? Kind of like the Wii U.

It remains to be seen what they are planning but here’s what Microsoft had to say:

“Xbox SmartGlass works with all the devices that you already own: the TV you already own, the phone you already own and the tablet you already own,” said Marc Whitten, head of Microsoft’s Xbox Live division.

“Xbox SmartGlass turns any TV into a smart TV.”

We will have more information for you regarding this. Stay tuned to GB. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
