During The Video Game Awards 2014, hosted by Geoff Keighley, Nintendo stole the show and dropped the biggest bomb of 2014 as far as Zelda fans are concerned. They revealed their upcoming re-release of the hugely popular game, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask which is easily the darkest game in the long running and hugely respected series.

In Europe, fans who pre-order the game are getting a beautiful paperweight-esque block with Majora’s Mask encapsulated within and a special edition that contains a steelbook case, poster and pin. North American fans are however getting the infinitely more impressive special edition. Nintendo of America revealed via press release that North American gamers can get a special edition of the game that will come bundled with a figurine of the Skull Kid clad in Majora’s Mask.

At this time, the special edition isn’t available for pre-order but the game isn’t set to launch until “Spring 2015”, so there’s still plenty of time. The regular edition of North America’s Majora’s Mask will cost $39.99 whereas the special edition will cost only $10 more.

The reception to Majora’s Mask’s re-release and it’s various pre-order incentive and special editions has been especially warm, and in Nintendo’s own words, “There is a reason The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is loved by fans all over the world. It is one of the most unique and suspenseful entries in The Legend of Zelda series, one that critics and fans have called a true masterpiece.”

The Special Edition will include a Collectible Steel Book with new artwork for the game’s three protagonists; a 21.5” x 26.75” map blueprint map of Los Santos and Blaine County which showcases locations for quick cash and other little secrets; an special ability boost which lets the ability bar regenerate 25 percent faster; Stunt Plane Trils; and Bonus Outfits, tattoos and additional weapons.

Some of those weapons include the Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer, all available for free. Tattoos will also be discounted for players who travel to different stores in the game. Pre-order your copy today while supplies last.

The special edition is set to include a steel book with the game, along an additional playable scene that will present 30 minutes of new gameplay. There will also be the usual menagerie of behind the scenes videos, a dynamic theme and avatar pack and the OST for the game.

Those interesting in pre-ordering the special edition for £45 can head over to Amazon, Zavvior and Sainsbury’s with more sure to follow. Beyond: Two Souls is set to release on October 8th for PS3. It will star Hollywood big-shots like Ellen Paige and Willem Dafoe in leading roles.

“A Dangerous Secret”, the additional single player mission marked for DLC later, is shown with an exclusive weapon, the Pirate Flintlock, and new colours for the Aquila flags. Of course, this special edition will only be available for GAME in the UK, so pre-order now while you can.

Rockstar has just revealed the Special Edition for Max Payne 3, and it looks awesome. Yeah, yeah, I’ll get straight to the price. It costs $99.99/£99.99/€109.99, so you know which version to buy. You can check out the contents below.

There is a ton of extra content for inFamous 2, because not only do you have the recently announced pre-order bonuses, but you also have the retailer specific pre-order bonuses as well as what you will get if you purchase the Hero Edition of the game which includes pretty much ALL the retailer specific pre-order bonuses.  But that is is your a hardcore fan of the game, which also includes that nifty messenger bag with it too.  The pre-order bonuses are a Caveman Club, A Samurai Sword, the Sly Cane and one bad ass Reaper Costume which you will get for pre-ordering the game anywhere which you can see below.

Earlier this moth Amazon.com accidentally leaked the contents of the ‘Hero Edition’ for inFamous 2 but have now officially been announced.  The game will be out exclusively for the Playstation 3 on June 7th, 2011.  Pre-ordering the ‘Her o Edition’ of this game, you are getting quite a lot of things, my favorite being Cole messenger bag.  Above is an image of  everything you get with the ‘Hero Edition’ of inFamous 2, below is a list of all its contents.

Now if you pre-order your game at Gamestop you will get the Lightning Hook Ability which is an electro-kinetic tether that lets you snare and pull enemies and objects towards Cole. By pre-ordering inFamous 2 at Walmart, you get a Electrocution Grenade Ability that grenade ties your enemies down with an arch electricity trapping them into an explosive death.

Pre-ordering the game at other retailers might get you the original Soundtrack, but in my opinion, if you are serious about this game you might as well just get ‘Hero Edition’ which comes with everything.  Everyone will be save or destroying the world on June 7th, 2011, exclusively for the Playstation 3.

Now pulled from Amazon.com obviously was the ‘Hero Edition’ of Infamous 2.  Luckily someone one saw it and got the contents of it before it was taken down from Amazon.  The special edition of the game will run you $99.99 and will include the following:
