Spider-Man: Edge of Time now available in North America

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is now available in North America. The game is published by Activision. Spider-Man: Edge of Time is the sequel to the popular Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions, which was well received world wide.

“Just like with Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Beenox is bringing a fresh perspective to the series with Spider-Man: Edge of Time,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Activision.

“Dee Brown and the team at Beenox worked closely with Marvel’s own veteran writer and co-creator of Spider-Man 2099, Peter David, on a high-stakes narrative experience where the ultimate challenge is not only to save the world, but also save Spider-Man himself.”

The game has a stunning voice cast which includes, legendary film star Val Kilmer as Walker Sloan; Smallville and V mainstay Laura Vandervoort as Mary Jane; Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff as Black Cat; “The Spectacular Spider-Man’s” Josh Keaton as the Amazing Spider-Man; and Christopher Daniel Barnes, who voiced the iconic Marvel web-slinger in the 1994 “Spider-Man” series, as the voice of Spider-Man 2099.

Check out these new screenshots from Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

This game is published by Activision and is developed by Beenox.

It is expected to be released by October on PC, PS3, Wii, X360, 3DS and DS.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a focused, action-packed adventure set in two connected and evolving timelines, from the contemporary times of the Amazing Spider-Man to the corrupted future world of Spider-Man 2099, against the backdrop of a rich, tightly crafted narrative by acclaimed Marvel veteran Peter David (co-creator of the comic book series Spider-Man 2099). The game features all-new “cause-and-effect” gameplay, where players will see how the immediate and sometimes unexpected effects of their actions as one Spider-Man changes the timeline of the other Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Edge of Time is slated for release this fall.

Activision has announced US launch dates for Silicon Knights’ X-Men Destiny and Beenox’s Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

You’ll be seeing more of the X-Men on September 27th, with Spidey arriving later on October 4th.

Voice characters for Spider-Man: Edge of Time and X-Men Destiny to attend Comic-Con

Activision and Marvel have announced voice characters for Spider-Man: Edge of Time and X-Men Destiny. Both games will be playable at this year’s Comic-Con.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time game will feature film star Val Kilmer as Walker Sloan, Smallville and V mainstay Laura Vandervoort as Mary Jane, and Katee Sackhoff.

Heroes icon Milo Ventimiglia, Sucker Punch and The Hangover Part II vixen Jamie Chung and Friday Night Lights star Scott Porter will bring three all-new playable mutant characters — Grant Alexander, Aimi Yoshida and Adrian Luca in X-Men Destiny.

“These amazing casts of talented Hollywood actors help bring the rich storylines of Spider-Man: Edge of Time and X-Men Destiny to life,” said Vicharin Vadakan, Director of Marketing, Activision Publishing. “Players this fall will get to control the destiny of their own mutants or save Spider-Man and through this voice talent feel like they are part of the action.”

Activision have released the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

Activision have said: “Spider-Man: Edge of Time challenges the player to take on the roles of both classic Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 to correct a timestream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker.”
