And that's pretty much it. No, seriously.

We finally got a look at the new gameplay trailer for Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall and our reactions are somewhat mixed. It showcases the Hammond Robotics corporation, which manufactures the combat-oriented Titans that make up the game’s core combat. Check it out above but prepare to be underwhelmed in advance.

Aside from some nifty visuals, we also get a look at the Ogre Titan, a somewhat slouching behemoth that apparently had a huge impact on the war in Titanfall. It’s also been revealed that the game is more or less finished with only balancing left to go. It won’t feature any Kinect support, and it would’ve honestly been more intriguing if it had.

Titanfall will release for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11th 2014 in North America and March 13th 2014 in Europe. What are your thoughts on the above trailer? Let us know in the comments below. Meanwhile, we’ll bring you more updates from the Spike VGX Awards.

Update: Another video for Titanfall was revealed, which showcases a light-class Titan called Stryder. Check it out below.

Also, Geralt being a boss.

CD Projekt RED put in a short trailer at the Spike VGX Awards for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It didn’t reveal much, aside from the fact that Geralt is an utter bad-ass (as always), but we did get a look some more of the gorgeous open world areas you’ll be traveling to along with the game’s main antagonistic faction.

The Witcher 3 will take advantage of redEngine 3 and bring forth the biggest world in the series till date, with the developer boasting it to be 20 percent larger than The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. You’ll have 100 hours of gameplay in total, which includes the main quests and side missions. There will also be several endings for the game along with branching paths.

As of now, there’s no concrete date for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but it will release in 2014 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more details as the Spike VGX Awards roll on.

Bungie Studios’ Destiny was present at the on-going Spike VGX Awards, and this meant new gameplay footage. The studio had plenty to show from its online RPG shooter, which you can check out above.

Destiny sees players travel a brand new sci-fi universe wherein they can choose three different classes and fight against several different alien races, ranging from robots to multi-armed being intent on your murder. It will follow the aftermath of the Golden Age during the “Collapse”, as many technologically advanced colonies suddenly saw themselves dissolved almost instantaneously. There’s a lot happening, for sure.

Published by Activision, Destiny will release on PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 9th 2014. A closed beta will be arriving in Summer 2014 for those who pre-order the game, with PS3 and PS4 players being the first to get their hands on the same. Stay tuned for more updates from the Spike VGX Awards.

Telltale Games arrived at this year’s Spike VGX Awards to announce an episodic adventure series which is being created in collaboration with Gearbox Software: Tales from the Borderlands. We’re not even joking in the slightest. Check it out above.

Releasing in 2014, it will feature assets from the Borderlands franchise including some classic characters and locations along with a few new interesting additions. Not much is known about it – just that it would “play like a Telltale game” but be set in Pandora, the main world of Borderlands (and we’d assume on other such Vault-infested planets). And it’s being developed by Telltale primarily.

What are your thoughts on the above debut? Will it be arriving on next gen consoles as well? We’ll know in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates as the Spike VGX Awards rolls on. Thus far, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has been confirmed and a new 5 minute gameplay video for Thief has been unveiled.

So officially speaking, no Fallout 4 folks.

Bethesda Vice president for PR & marketing Pete Hines has confirmed that he won’t be at the upcoming Spike VGX Awards and that the company has nothing to show, thus stifling any rumours of Fallout 4 being unveiled.

Speaking on Twitter, Hines said, “I am not going to VGX. Bethesda is not showing/talking about anything at VGX.” He’ll apparently be in Los Angeles for various meetings, but despite that – and TheSurvivor2299 site that is still getting people worked up, despite its suspected validity – there was still hope that Fallout 4 would be showcased.

Teased since just before E3 2013, Fallout 4 is rumoured to be Bethesda’s next big single-player project. It was supposedly shown behind closed doors at E3 and the rumour mill has been churning non-stop to dig up new bits of information on the game. As of now, there’s nothing solid. We’ll just have to wait and watch as always.

The Spike VGX Awards are set to take place on December 7th.

Former Tomb Raider brand manager and current marketing VP for Square Enix Europe and North America Karl Stewart has confirmed via Twitter that the company will be showcasing two new trailers at this week’s Spike VGX Awards.

“Just reviewed the final cuts of both trailers we’re showing at next Saturdays Spike TV VGX. Amazing stuff from the teams as ever. Cant wait.” As of now, the expectation is that we’ll see something on Tomb Raider – either the Definitive Edition or the next-generation sequel.

As for the second trailer, anything is possible. There could be something on Thief, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XV, maybe even the next Hitman. Anything is possible at this point, so we won’t stop hoping for that Final Fantasy VII remake.

The Spike TV VGX Awards will be airing on December 7th, and thus far, it will see appearances from Titanfall and Quantum Break (which debuts its first gameplay trailer).

With all the information being released recently for Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break in the past week, is it any surprise that the Xbox One exclusive has confirmed for the 2013 Spike VGX Awards?

After Microsoft’s Phil Spencer teased as much earlier, host Geoff Keighley confirmed on Twitter that the game would be making an appearance with its first every gameplay trailer. “Way more to share next week, but happy to confirm the first look at Quantum Break gameplay for Xbox One is coming to VGX on December 7.”

Other rumours indicate that Fallout 4 and more information Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition could be seen at this year’s Awards show. Quantum Break, meanwhile, has been garnering headlines with new details such as the ability to play as the villain in the game and the inclusion of TV episodes on the disc which vary in their order depending on your choices within the game. Stay tuned for more details as December approaches.

Spike’s VGX Awards are on December 7th, and there’s already quite a bit rumoured for the event including news regarding Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (which could be on the Xbox One and PS4), Fallout 4’s reveal and much more. Now, we can Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall to the list, as host Geoff Keighley has announced Respawn’s presence. Not only that, but apparently there will be some surprises in store.

Excited to announce that Titanfall is coming to VGX. Big surprises and news from @respawn on December 7. Don't miss it.

— Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) November 22, 2013

Will we finally receive information on a public beta? Maybe a new gameplay trailer or something similarly snazzy? We’ll need to wait till December to find out but the way Respawn has been delivering as of late, it’ll be worth the wait.

Titanfall is currently scheduled to release for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11th 2014 in North America and March 13th 2014 in Europe. It will be the first in a probable series, with latter games likely to arrive on other platforms including the PlayStation 4.
