The demo allows for playing a “part” of the game for three hours and will remain permanently available across the above platforms. It’s unknown if progress transfers to the game, but at the very least, you can experience the core gameplay and check in on all the improvements.

Star Wars Outlaws is discounted on the Xbox and PlayStation Stores, so if you like the demo, it’s not the worst time to jump in. The second DLC, A Pirate’s Fortune, is also out on May 15th and offers a new adventure with Hondo Ohnaka in the Khepi system. Head here for more details.

While performance and resolution details have yet to be unveiled, the Snowdrop-developed title running on the platform is impressive (especially if it’s in handheld mode). The Switch 2 version drops several months after the May 15th release of A Pirate’s Fortune, the second paid DLC, which sees Kay teaming up with Hondo Ohnaka to seek treasure.

Whether the Season Pass and both story DLC are included remains to be seen, so stay tuned for more details. The Nintendo Switch 2 launches worldwide on June 5th for $449.99, even after tariffs delayed US pre-orders.

The story sees Kay venturing to the Khepi system and encountering Hondo Ohnaka, a fan-favorite from Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars. Working together, they venture to Khepi Tomb to seek treasure while fighting off Stinger Tash and the Rokana Raiders.

While a tomb-raiding adventure sounds enticing, there’s also the new Miyuki Trade League. If you work to smuggle goods, they’ll provide new Trailblazer rewards. A free update also goes live alongside the DLC, adding a Nix outfit, Speeder Trophy, and Trinket inspired by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
