Rift Storm Legion Launch Trailer is Here: For the Queen!

The Ascended have their hands full this time, as a wily demon attempts to usurp power, while the queen of the lands (not as wily but still pretty) gathers arms and attempts to repel the invaders in Trion Worlds’ newest expansion for RIFT, titled Storm Legion. A new trailer has been released which showcases the battles to be fought and the enemies to be felled along with multi-tiered dungeons and raid mission to take down the nastier of the uglies.

RIFT: Storm Legion is set to feature an increased level cap, new “dimensions” where players can customize separate parts of the world, 4 new souls, one for each calling (which include the Mage Soul “Harbinger” and Warrior Soul “Tempest”), new Instant Adventures and two new continents which triples the overall size of the game world.

And then there’s the aforementioned demon who’s voice is deceptively easy to fall for.

Storm Legion “Exodus of the Storm Queen” Open to Pre-order Consumers

Trion Worlds has just announced that customers who preorder Storm Legion for RIFT, the popular online MMO, will be able to try out one of the dungeons, namely “Exodus of the Storm Queen”. As a precursor to the main storyline, this dungeons will remain open to capped players who pre-order Storm Legion up until it’s release on November 13th.

“Exodus of the Storm Queen” is a five player dungeon, wherein players will witness Crucia’s escape from an icy prison. Of course, that’s really only half of the story, as you’ll be able to face off against new enemies, discover new items and loot and take on new bosses.

Also, the fate of Telara may just be resting on your hands, so, you know, don’t screw up or anything. No pressure at all.

Storm Legion Open Beta Commencing on November 2nd: Get Ready to Raid

The ever popular RIFT will be receiving it’s first expansion pack with Storm Legion, but before we get around to the official launch happening on November 13th, Trion Worlds has announced an open beta commencing from November 2nd and ending on the 5th.

Players can look forward to 2 new continents, an even larger sized Telara, reportedly three times its original size, an increased level cap of 60, player dimensions, new dungeon and raid content, plus new player souls for each class. Even better, those who create a RIFT account and download the client (from here) will have access to all of this content during the open beta.

Trion CCO and RIFT executive producer Scott Hartsman stated, “The first two closed beta stress tests were big successes, and we appreciate all the valuable feedback that we’ve used to improve and polishStorm Legion. After months of hard work, we’re ready to show this incredible game to the world, and we encourage RIFT fans old and new to log in and try it out before the official launch on November 13th.”

The beta is scheduled to start at 10 AM PDT on November 2nd and end at 8 AM PST on November 5th.

Rift: Storm Legion First Closed Beta Event Announced for October 5th

“Trion Worlds today announced its first closed beta event for Storm Legion,the highly anticipated first expansion to, RIFT, will kick off on Friday, October 5, and is slated to conclude on Sunday, October 7. Those who’ve pre-ordered the expansion are automatically entered into this and all subsequent beta events. The additional events are planned throughout October leading up to the November 13th launch of the expansion.

“Strap yourselves in for the first Storm Legion closed beta event, where participants will have the opportunity to explore the new leveling zones of Pelladane, Cape Jule, and the city of Tempest Bay. Additionally, players will be able to customise their own Dimensions, and try out the new four new souls coming in the expansion. Current subscribers will be able to copy their characters over to the beta shard.”

Trion Worlds Annouces Storm Legion Pre-order for Saving Giant Panda

Good news, true believers! If you’re not like us – who believe the Pandas are just lazy wankers (or so Jim Jefferies has told us) – and believe the Giant Panda needs your help, then Trion Worlds has come to the rescue. The developer who’s bringing us Defiance and End of Nations has announced a special donation for the non-profit organisation Pandas International to further the preservation of the endangered Giant Panda.

For every copy you order of the Rift expansion Storm Legion until October 3rd, Trion will give $1 USD to the organisation. The developers stated via press release, “As supporters of worldwide panda preservation, the team at Trion understands that these gentle giants are best admired from afar, and that any human encroachment on their natural (or digital) habitat has a deleterious effect on their silent majesty.”
