Interestingly enough, it seems that some other titles could shadow-drop onto Game Pass soon, as well. As pointed out by MauroNL on Twitter, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Edition is listed with a Game Pass discount, which usually means it’s being added to the service. It’s unknown whether this is an error, so we’ll need to wait for more details.

The DioField Chronicle also apparently had the same discount, but that’s now been removed. Dead Rising Triple Bundle Pack still has it, so it could also arrive on Game Pass later. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.

Not 100% sure on DioField yet but the Store listing is counting down to the Game Pass post drop time, so 9 out of 10 times this means its added to Game Pass.

Street Fighter is the only game listed with a "With Game Pass" discount, so this also usually means added to GP library.

Hollow Knight 

Team Cherry’s take on the increasingly popular souls like genre has been met with great critical and commercial acclaim, and for all the right reasons. The world of Hallownest strikes a careful balance between being joyful and daunting, and in addition to this – the game has excellent art direction, music, platforming, and level. It’s a really well-rounded and complete package, which is available across all platforms at just a fraction of the cost of contemporaries.

Sony’s revealed the set of games coming to PlayStation Plus in May, and for once, the rumors flying around the internet were right. This month’s trio is Battlefield 5, Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last, and Stranded Deep.

The big name this month is clearly Battlefield 5, the latest entry in DICE’s megahit shooter franchise. We liked it quite a bit here at GamingBolt. While the game received its final content update last year, the game is a great shooter that’s packed with content and still being played.

Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last is the latest from FlatOut developer Bugbear. A full-contact racing game where players upgrade their cars to survive the onslaught of vehicular mayhem, Wreckfest reviewed well when it released in 2019 and features a Challenge mode and up to 24 players in multiplayer.

Stranded Deep is a survival game. Players are stranded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean after a mysterious plan crash and must scavenge supplies to craft the tools, weapons, and shelter they’ll need to survive the elements and animals of the Pacific.

May’s PS Plus titles will be available for download from May 4th to May 31st. If you haven’t picked up April’s games – Days Gone, Oddworld Soulstorm, and Zombie Army 4 – you have until May 3rd to do so.

While several companies have entered into the streaming game as of late, specifically Google with their Stadia program and Microsoft with Xbox Cloud Gaming/xCloud, it can be easy to forget that Sony was one of the first with their PlayStation Now service. It is still going strong, too, and this month we’ve got a whole new batch to look forward to.

First up, the headlining title is no doubt Sony’s first party title, Horizon Zero Dawn. That is the Complete Edition, so the game’s expansion is also included. Alongside side that is a helping of action titles with Darksiders 3 and The Surge 2. For something a little more methodical, the survival game Stranded Deep is coming, and then we have some crazy indie with the incredibly tongue in cheek sidescroller Broforce and racing title Wreckfest: Drive Hard. These games will be on PlayStation Now and playable on PS5, PS4 as well as capable PCs starting this month.

Sea of Thieves

What isn’t to love about the water in Sea of Thieves? It’s meticulously crafted, from the gentle waves rolling against ships in port to their violent crashing during naval battles. How the light behaves with the water plays a large part in how good it looks and Sea of Thieves captures this well, as evidenced by observing any water body at different times of day and in different weather. The fact that water actually plays a part in everything, from diving to naval combat, is also exceptional. Say what you will about Sea of Thieves but it nails the “sea” aspect masterfully.
