Capcom recently updated its list of Platinum Titles, which indicates games that have sold over one million units in their life-span. It revealed updated sales numbers for a number of franchises in the process. Monster Hunter World currently sits at 14.1 million units sold while Resident Evil 7: biohazard is at 6.8 million units sold.

Resident Evil 2, a remake of the 1998 PS One classic, is at 4.7 million units sold while Devil May Cry 5 managed to sell 2.7 million units. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne was reported to have shipped 2.8 million worldwide on October 29th and is now confirmed to have sold the same. Of course, there are a number of other first-timers to the Platinum Titles collection.

Okami HD, Mega Man 11 and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection all managed to sell one million copies since launch. Capcom recently reported that it would work on more franchise revivals and remakes following the success Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5. We’ll see if this opens the door to new titles for Okami, Mega Man X and Dino Crisis in the coming years. In the meantime, check out Capcom’s top ten best-selling games till date below.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter World was already a stellar success when it was available only for consoles. However, thanks to the PC release in August, the title has gone on to ship over 10 million units, according to the company’s recent earnings report. Though Capcom already confirmed the 10 million figure in August, it recently revealed that this was the first title in the company’s history to achieve this feat.

Net sales saw a 28.5 percent increase from the first fiscal half of 2018, hitting 43.3 million Yen for the six months ending September 30th. The company’s operating income hit 10.5 million Yen, the highest in company history for the end of a second quarter. Besides Monster Hunter World, Capcom also reported profits from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.

Furthermore, the company reported that titles like Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and Mega Man X Legacy Collection are also performing well. The latter is good news for Mega Man X, fans and could potentially catalyze the release of a brand new Mega Man X title. Overall, Capcom’s forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31st 2019 is the same as its projection announced in May 2018.

Gfk Chart-Track’s latest UK sales data for the week ending May 29th is in. Surprisingly, despite Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human being in first place the week prior and SIE Santa Monica’s God of War doing great business, it’s FIFA 18 that’s currently leading the pack. This is due to heavy promotions at retail outlets and the new free World Cup mode which released on May 29th.

Regardless, Detroit: Become Human is still in second place, showing strong sales in its second week. Far Cry 5 saw a generous uptick from sixth to third place while God of War managed to rise slightly up to fourth place. Sega Mega Drive Classics and Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection are the new releases, ranking fifth and sixth respectively in their debuts.

Other games include Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition remaining steady at seventh place, State of Decay 2 falling heavily from second to eighth place, Dark Souls Remastered falling from third to ninth place and Fallout 4 moving from ninth to tenth place.

Street Fighter fans rejoice – Capcom has announced that Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is now available for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. It retails for $39.99 and includes 12 classic Street Fighter titles in one package.

These include the following games. Keep in mind that online play and training modes are only supported for Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting, Street Fighter 2: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.

This isn’t just a simple collection of ports though. Over the weekend during the Capcom Cup at PlayStation Experience, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection was announced for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Along with casual matches, players can partake in ranked play and even place on leaderboards. Lobbies are also supported.

If that weren’t enough, Capcom also announced Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition which would be coming to PC and PS4 on January 16th 2018 with content from Season 1 and 2 of the game (like new characters and stages) along with new V-Triggers and other adjustments.
