Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Mega Man: Dual Override, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and more are confirmed for the show floor.

Tokyo Game Show is the next significant trade fair for the gaming industry, and Capcom is wasting no time announcing its plans. On September 16th, it’s hosting a 40-minute Capcom Spotlight online program at 7 AM PDT to provide all the latest details on its upcoming titles.

On the show floor, attendees can look forward to seeing Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Mega Man: Dual Override, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Pragmata and Street Fighter 6. Whether all of these titles will appear during the Spotlight showcase remains unknown.

However, Capcom may almost certainly devote extensive time to Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. Out in 2027, it’s the first and (based on past titles) only paid expansion coming to the action RPG, adding a brand new region, new and returning monsters, and a storyline focusing on Elder Dragons. It also features new abilities for each weapon type and the Boost Bracer as a new combat mechanic.

Will Capcom make room for surprises such as, say, a new Resident Evil Veronica trailer? Time will tell, but as seen with Resident Evil Requiem, it could very well wait until The Game Awards to announce a release date and open pre-orders. Stay tuned for more updates until then.

Yasmine is available through the Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Character and Ultimate passes, as well as individually through an in-game shop.

Yasmine is now officially available in Street Fighter 6. The newest addition to the roster is part of the fighting game’s ongoing Year 4 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass, and is also available to buy directly in-game with Fighter Coins. Along with this, her Outfit 2 – designed around what she might wear to school – is also available. Check out the trailer celebrating her arrival below.

Players interested in checking out more of Yasmine’s technical details can access all of the information through the official website, including frame data for all of her moves and combos. The website also includes a full moves list, such as how to pull off special moves like Daloy ng Tubig, Talm ng Hangin, or Mukha ng Langit before even jumping into the game.

The newest addition to the roster is also available in game modes outside of multiplayer, including Arcade Story and Combo Trials. While previous DLC characters have also included new content in the World Tour mode, Capcom confirmed back in May that Ingrid would be the last time World Tour would be updated, and that moving forward, the company is leaving the mode behind.

Capcom had revealed details about Yasmine’s complete moveset back in July with a trailer showcasing her normal and special moves. Many of her abilities tend to revolve around entering Bayani Mode: a stance that gives her karambit knife a blue glow and improves its damage. This includes bread-and-butter moves like Daloy ng Tubig.

Overall, Yasmine has been described by Capcom as a rushdown-oriented character that has just enough ranged capabilities to keep opponents on their toes while she figures out openings to get into close range and lock her enemies up with high-damage combos.

While plenty of Yasmine’s special moves give her a way to close the distance between her and her opponents, her Super moves are quite noteworthy, since they also give her strong anti-aerial capabilities with the Hiwa ng Kalangitan, as well as an easier way to enter a stronger version of Bayani mode with the Nakatagong Lakas. The fact that these super moves have invincibility frames on start-up also makes them great ways to get out of high-pressure situations.

Street Fighter 6 has been an incredibly successful fighting game for Capcom, with the company having confirmed that, as of June, it had sold over 7 million copies. The title is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The same announcement also included details about the game’s Year 4 characters. Along with Yasmine, the year will see more roster additions like Arjun, Bosch, and even Final Fantasy 7’s Tifa Lockhart. While all four characters will be newcomers to the franchise, Tifa’s addition is especially noteworthy, since she will follow in the footsteps of other crossover characters, like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury and King of Fighters.

However, it is worth noting that Tifa will be released in early 2027. With Yasmine’s release, the next major update for Street Fighter 6 will introduce Arjun, who is slated for an Autumn 2026 window.

Yasmine is a rushdown characters equipped with a wide variety of moves that can also empower her knife to deal additional damage.

As we get closer to the August 3rd release of Street Fighter 6’s next character, Yasmine, developer Capcom has released a new trailer showcasing how she plays and details her various normal and super moves. The trailer comes in at six and a half minutes in length, and you can check it out below.

Capcom describes Yasmine as being a fighter with an arsenal of various techniques that help her close the distance with her opponents. Her rushdown-oriented moves include gliding across the ground or zipping through the air to ensure that she constantly applies pressure over the course of a match.

Yasmine has two distinct modes that she can switch between by landing specific attacks. One, dubbed Bayani mode, powers up her karambit knife, dubbed Alon, which in turn allows the character to deal even more damage with her various combos. One of her bread-and-butter moves that can be used to extend normal combos is Daloy ng Tubig, which can act as a quick finisher and kick off Bayani Mode, which is signified by the knife glowing blue.

The overdrive version of Daloy ng Tubig has the added benefit of extra damage while still being as fast as its light version. Its power-up for Alon gives it more slicing attacks. The Overdrive version can also be canceled into a Super Art for extended combos and more damage.

Talim ng Hangin is a forward-sweeping knife attack that helps in closing the gap with an opponent while also keeping them on their toes about whether to block or not, since it can be canceled before the move goes through. This opens up plenty of options for mind games between players during intense matches. Like Daloy ng Tubig, Talim ng Hangin also kicks off Bayani mode.

Her core aerial attack – the Mukha ng Langit – is a leap that can be followed up with a variety of moves. Depending on player positioning, it can also be used for cross-up attacks to confuse your opponent. Similarly, Lipad ng Agila works as her core anti-air. An Overdrive version is also available that can power through incoming attacks.

When dealing with opponents that like to keep some distance from Yasmine, the new character can use Pangil sa Likuran, which throws her knife at the enemy before it loops back around like a boomerang. Interestingly, it has the potential to hit the opponent twice, depending on how far away they are. Getting hit when the knife is out unfortunately cancels the entire attack.

When it’s time to use the Super meter, Yasmine has access to Hiwa ng Kalangitan, which kicks the opponent into the air before slamming them back down. Its startup animation has invincibility, which also makes it a great way to counter extra pressure. Nakatagong Lakas, on the other hand, allows Yasmine to stay in Bayani mode for an extended period of time, empowering her combos.

Finally, Yasmine has Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita – her level 3 Super Art that can deal massive damage. While it’s ideal as a combo ender, its startup invincibility also makes it a great tool when you’re on the defensive.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Yasmine is part of the title’s new Year 4 season.

The announcement of this new milestone came just a few days after Capcom unveiled its Year 4 DLC plans for Street Fighter 6.

Just as it wrapped up Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 DLC plan with the release of Ingrid, Capcom has announced that the fighting game has hit a brand-new milestone, having sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. The title is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and the sales were likely split quite well among all of the platforms.

“An achievement all thanks to you,” wrote Capcom on social media. “We’re eternally grateful that Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 7 million copies worldwide!”

Street Fighter 6 was originally released back in 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The fighting game eventually made its way to Nintendo Switch 2 last year, as one of the console’s launch-week games.

With Year 3 characters all having come out, Capcom has also revealed details about what Street Fighter 6 players can expect from future DLC releases. Through a trailer released over the weekend, the company has confirmed that the fighting game will get four new additions to its roster – Yasmine, Arjun, Bosch, and Final Fantasy 7’s Tifa Lockhart.

All four characters will be newcomers to the Street Fighter franchise. Aside from Tifa, all of the characters are original creations. Capcom has also revealed a few details about each of the fighters. Yasmine, for instance, is a high schooler from the Philippines who has decided to join Street Fighter 6’s antics as part of her quest to find her long-lost Kuya. The character makes use of a crescent-shaped karambit knife in her combat style.

Arjun is equipped with extraordinary lung capacity, along with yogic breathing, giving him the ability to engage with his opponents in fist fights with his unique Bare-knuckle Yoga techniques. Originally a police officer in India, Arjun was accused of killing a colleague, which has led him to live his life on the run while still trying to hunt down the true murderer.

Bosch, hailing from Nayshall, is on a quest to find the true meaning of strength. In the process, he has already become a proficient martial artist, winning a sacred tournament before the events of the game. He is now in Metro City to train under Luke so that he can incorporate modern combat techniques in his ancient martial arts style.

Much like in Final Fantasy 7, Tifa in Street Fighter 6 will make use of her Zangan-ryu martial arts. She ends up in the world of the fighting game after being mysteriously transported away from her own adventures. In the process, she has decided to bond with the brand-new fighters she is meeting in her new adventure. In gameplay terms, Tifa is going to be a close-range fighter and can make use of unique powers dubbed Abilities.

Year 4 characters will start coming out this year, with Summer marking the release of Yasmine. Arjun will follow in Autumn 2026, and after a break, Tifa is slated for release in early 2027. She will be followed by Bosch in Spring 2027. Along with these roster additions, the Year 4 Character Pass also includes four characters’ colors for their respective Outfit 1 options, along with 3,000 Drive Tickets.

Players worried about how their avatars can learn new moves can make use of the new Arcade Avatar mode to unlock the rewards.

Ingrid is now officially a member of the Street Fighter 6 roster. Alongside the update bringing the character in, Capcom has also confirmed through a social media post that this will be the last bit of content added to the fighting game’s single-player World Tour mode.

All Street Fighter 6 roster members so far have been represented in the World Tour mode, where players can take on challenges with their own custom characters. As part of the mode, players can also learn moves from the various members of the game’s roster, and in this regard, Ingrid will be no different. However, no future characters will show up in the game mode.

“Please note that Ingrid will be the final character to receive additional World Tour story content upon release,” said the company on social media. “Previously added World Tour content will remain playable.”

Capcom has been quite deliberate with its wording, noting that future characters won’t be coming to World Tour “upon release”. Whether this means that there are plans to bring in future characters with later updates remains to be seen.

As for player avatars being able to learn the new roster members’ moves, it should still be possible through the Avatar Arcade mode. The announcement essentially means that there are no more plans for additional story content for the World Tour mode.

It is worth noting that World Tour has consistently been a pillar of the single-player game modes in a genre that is otherwise known for multiplayer. The World Tour offers a full single-player story campaign and gives players plenty of customization options for their custom characters. While there is quite a bit of emphasis on exploration, the game mode also revolves around fighting several enemies across 1-on-1 traditional Street Fighter-style battles, as well as multi-man brawls. Throughout the mode, players can meet iconic Street Fighter 6 characters, including Ryu, Chun-Li, and others. Each character has their own short story campaign, and in the process, leads to the player learning their moves and even unlocking their outfits for use on their own avatars.

In the meantime, Ingrid’s arrival in Street Fighter 6 has been celebrated with a brand new trailer, giving us a look at her World Tour content, which includes the player avatar having to interact with the strange new character for her story. Along with World Tour, Ingrid also has her own Arcade story, combo trials, and customization options.

For a better look at Ingrid, you can check out the trailer released earlier this week showcasing some of the versatile character’s moves. While she has a complete moveset that gives her plenty of options to control the distance between her and her opponents, her moves can also be powered up by making use of Sun Crests, which have to be generated in the heat of battle.

Ingrid’s arrival also brings with it new game modes, like Random Avatar Matches, which pit players against each other in multiplayer bouts on equal footing. Avatar Arcade, on the other hand, is a single-player mode that gives players a chance to unlock special rewards and progress their avatars.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Ingrid is equipped with several tools that allow her to generate Sun Crests, which can then be used to power up all of her abilities.

With Ingrid’s arrival to Street Fighter 6 being just a week away, Capcom has released a brand new Starter Guide video showcasing her abilities with the hopes of getting players ready. Almost 8 minutes, it features plenty of details on Ingrid’s moveset, from her normals to her Critical Arts.

Capcom has described Ingrid as a “versatile character” that can use a combination of techniques and projectiles. She can generate Sun Crests, which can be spent to make her moves more powerful by harnessing the sun’s full power. The efficacy of moves increases based on the number of Sun Crests used. While she generates the Crests, she can use a variety of projectiles to keep her opponents at a distance.

While she may seem like a zoning character, Ingrid isn’t a slouch when it comes to close-range combat either. She has a simple yet effective combo that can also be further expanded by spending Sun Crests, giving her access to new moves that work well with her normals.

Ingrid’s bread-and-butter projectile is the Sun Shot – a ball of light that briefly stops before launching towards the opponent. Along with its zoning capabilities, it can be used in close-range combos for more damage. Sun Shots can also be unleashed at different angles to confuse your opponent, or even just act as an anti-air defense.

For mid-range engagements, Ingrid has access to Sun Flare, which can shoot a beam across the entire screen if Sun Crests are expended in the process. Using the powered-up version of a Sun Flare can also open the opponent up for more rushdown combos.

One of the most interesting moves in Ingrid’s arsenal is her ability to teleport, dubbed Vanishing Sun. Using it, players can control the distance between themselves and the opponent. The move is useful for aerial or standard attacks, or defensively to back off to a safer distance. She has access to a host of super attacks that can also benefit from expending Sun Crests to deal more damage and prolong combos.

Ingrid will be joining the Street Fighter 6 roster on May 28th. Recently, Capcom has also confirmed that the release will accompany a free update that brings in new game modes that can improve the capabilities of your Avatar. These modes include Random Avatar Matches and Avatar Arcade.

Random Avatar Matches is a new matchmaking system that will allow players to match up against other players in multiplayer bouts on equal footing. Avatar Arcade, on the other hand, is a single-player mode that pits you against CPU-controlled Masters, with each Master offering their own special rewards and progression track.

With Street Fighter 6‘s Year 3 DLC plan reaching its conclusion, rumors have started floating around about what Year 4 will have in store for the fighting game. One report has indicated that we might see Final Fantasy 7‘s Tifa Lockhart joining the roster.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Players can also engage in Avatar Arcade, facing off against CPU Masters or embarking on a Battle Tour for consecutive fights.

As if Ingrid joining Street Fighter 6’s playable roster wasn’t enough, Capcom has gone and thrown in new game modes designed to help you grow your Avatar.

First up is Random Avatar Matches, a matchmaking system meant to maintain a level playing field by opening up all the gear and special abilities, gauge limit unlocks, accessories, and Super Arts while using Level Sync to ensure your opponent is capable of going toe to toe with you. That’s an interesting way to guarantee match-ups that could push your skills to their absolute limit.

Then there’s Avatar Arcade, which pits you against a line-up of CPU-controlled Masters, each of which has special rewards and individual progression bars to unlock. Your Avatar gets to level up while also picking up loads of new stuff and more, making this a great place to grind out a few levels. What’s more, you can choose to either spar with specific masters or take on a bunch of them with Battle Tour. It’s a great alternative to World Tour, especially for those who want to engage in non-level-synced Avatar battles through the Battle Hub.

We’re curious to see whether Ingrid’s world-shattering abilities in her teaser trailer are somehow connected to these new modes. The good news is that we won’t have to wait too long to find out, as all this content goes live on May 28th.

Along with Tifa, the Year 4 pass is also reportedly going to feature Vega, Gouken, and Hagar returning in Street Fighter 6.

As Capcom gets ready to wrap up Street Fighter 6‘s Year 3 character plans with the upcoming release of Ingrid, the company’s plans for a Year 4 pass have seemingly leaked. According to social media LYCKYJ, Vega will be joining the game’s roster in its next character pass. Interestingly, this was further corroborated by Reddit user RnK_Clan, who went on to mention that Hagar, Gouken, and Tifa Lockhart will also be coming to Street Fighter 6.

While these are still just rumors, RnK_Clan’s claims are noteworthy because the leaker had previously accurately predicted the addition of Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui to the game back when it was still on its Year 2 pass. LVCKYJ’s claims are also similarly noteworthy due to their previously leaking the fact that Alex would be part of Capcom’s Year 3 plans for the fighting games.

While the addition of Gouken and Hagar to the Street Fighter 6 roster would be interesting, the headlining name in the leak is Tifa Lockhart. The Final Fantasy 7 character is well known in her own game for her focus on melee attacks and martial arts training, and as such, would fit in with the rest of the Street Fighter 6 roster quite well.

Adding yet another wrinkle to the story is YouTuber Rooflemonger claiming to have known about Tifa and Vega’s presence in the Year 4 plans for Street Fighter 6 “quite some time ago.” They even went as far as to note that their “personal source”, who had previously told them about the addition of Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui to the roster, as well as the general existence of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, was able to corroborate the idea of Tifa joining Capcom’s upcoming fighting game.

As already noted in this report, Street Fighter 6 is no stranger to crossover characters at this point, with Fatal Fury‘s Terry Bogard having joined the roster back in 2024. Fellow Fatal Fury character Mai Shiranui would join him in Capcom’s fighting game just a few months later. Tifa Lockhart, however, would mark the first time we see a Final Fantasy character in a mainline entry in the Street Fighter franchise.

The last time we saw a character from Square Enix’s long-running fantasy RPG series in a fighting game was Final Fantasy 16‘s Clive Rosfield joining the roster of Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 back in 2024.

While neither Capcom nor Square Enix has confirmed whether or not Tifa will be coming to Street Fighter 6, the character could end up being the fourth one in the Year 4 pass, which would also have the side-effect of her release marking the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7 next year. It could also be a way for Square Enix’s marketing plans for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, which is set to feature Tifa heavily in its overall story.

In the meantime, take a look at a teaser trailer to prepare for Ingrid’s arrival in Street Fighter 6. Capcom hasn’t yet announced a release date for her, however. Street Fighter 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

the wrinkle I will add to this story?Heard about Tifa and Vega quite some time ago, yep!The other 2? I actually heard 2 other names besides them so who even knows whats real cause I sure don't!Make sure to take this all with a grain of salt until you see some trailers

Ingrid is as mysterious as ever, and her powers seem to be quite potent as she prepares to make her mainline debut in late Spring.

One of the Street Fighter franchise’s most bizarre characters is finally joining the action, with Ingrid making her way to Street Fighter 6’s playable roster in late Spring as part of the Year 3 Character Pass.

A new teaser trailer for the character showcases her meeting with the player in a reality-bending scene, complete with adorable Monoids, in World Tour. She summarily shatters the world around him, although her reasons for doing so remain a mystery at this point. It’s going to be interesting to see how her powers come into play, but she’s generally been a mid to close-range fighter with some excellent counter-offensive options, various mix-ups to keep her opponents on their toes, and strong zoning potential for some high-damaging juggle combos.

Her motivations for being part of the game remain unknown at this time, but it’s clear that she’s got some business with the player (aside from serving as a new Master in World Tour). How that plays out is anyone’s guess, but we’re curious to find out more.

She joins Alex, who arrived last month, and is sure to bring some interesting mechanics to the table in what’s going to be her first mainline appearance in the franchise.

Alex offers a good mix of strikes and grapples with which he can confuse his opponents while keeping control of the fighting space.

As we get closer to the March 17th release date for Street Fighter 6‘s newest roster addition – Alex – Capcom has released a brand new trailer that gives us a deep dive into his capabilities. The trailer comes in at over 7 minutes in length, and provides a rundown on his normal and special attacks. Check it out below.

Alex’s gameplay style will revolve around rushing down on his opponents and using powerful attacks. To control the space between them, he has long-reaching attacks to poke at his opponents, as well as forward-moving ones that allow him to get close. Quite a few of his moves will also be based on Prowler Stance, through which he can kick off combos culminating in powerful grapples based on professional wrestling.

When it comes to special moves, Alex has a versatile one in the form of Flash Axe. The slashing elbow attack can be used in combos to keep the opponent locked up in a combo, with the Light version even being positive when blocked, which means that your opponent can’t quickly counter-attack. The Medium version of Flash Axe has the added capability of being canceled into Prowler Stance, as well as a wider arc and longer reach.

The Flash Chop is a lunging swinging attack that results in the target being turned around, which in turn opens them up to follow-up attacks, like special suplex-styled grapples. The Overdrive version of Flash Chop does more damage, and can even be combo-ed off a string of Light attacks.

To deal with airborne opponents, Alex has access to the Aerial Knee Smash-an aerial grapple that quickly brings the enemy back to the ground.

Since much of his moveset is based on professional wrestling, Alex also has access to some iconic moves, like the Power Bomb, and Hyper Takedowns DDTs and neck breakers. One of his biggest defensive options is the Raging Spear, which provides invincibility from enemy attacks during startup.

His special moves include the Sledgecross Hammer, which involves Alex unleashing a massive lariat, which can then be further combo-ed into other moves. The Omega Wing Buster – a reference to pro-wrestler Kenny Omega’s One-Winged Angel – is his other special, and can be executed as a follow-up from the Overdrive Power Drop. This starts off a series of animations referring to Omega’s other moves, including a massive knee to the face, before lifting the opponent up on his shoulders to drive them head-first into the ground. Finally, Alex has access to The Final Prison, which involves him taking down his opponent before putting them in a devastating submission move, which is then followed-up by a power slam.

These references to Kenny Omega should come as no surprise, since the wrestler had a hand in providing motion capture for Alex’s special moves. Just last week, Capcom released a video giving us a behind-the-scenes look at how these moves were captured.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2. In the meantime, Capcom is also gearing up for a new Spotlight showcase for later in the week.
