As for the show itself, Keighley promises a “spectacular, cross-platform showcase of what’s next in video games.” Obviously, it’s far too early to confirm what will be appearing, but tickets go on sale this coming Spring. For more details on how this year’s show fared, head here.

Before that, Keighley will host The Game Awards on December 11th at the Peacock Theater. It’s expected to offer some big announcements, world premieres and celebrity appearances while revealing the prestigious Game of the Year. Nominees have yet to be announced, but Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a strong favorite, especially considering its six nominations at this year’s Golden Joystick Awards. The premise sees 15 teams of four players dropping onto the map and fighting for supremacy. You’ll start with a pistol and can obtain new weapons and armor from chests, airdrops or upon slaying enemy players. Alternatively, there are Credits to purchase Power Weapons and upgrades (including buffs to armor and your Portal Gun). The twist is that the map, Split Worlds, is comprised of five biomes accessed by World Portals, including a volcano, desert, and, of all things, floating asteroids.

Random events can also occur, including one that disables all portals. You can revive fallen allies, but if the team is wiped, it’s game over. Time will tell how Splitgate: Battle Royale resonates with players, especially in a market dominated by Fortnite, Apex Legends, and more. It starts with Grace Ashcroft, daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who’s asked to investigate a murder in a hotel, the same place where her mother died. Things quickly go from intriguing to terrifying as she finds herself strapped to a hospital gurney with no way to escape.

The trailer then cuts to a ruined city with a massive crater, and the ruins of a building confirm it’s Raccoon City. Some monstrosities are showcased, but there’s no sign of Leon S. Kennedy, heavily rumored to feature in the sequel.

Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27th, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.. It will be playable at Gamescom in August and is described as a bold shift in tone and gameplay for the franchise with “high stakes cinematic action” to go with the survival horror. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

The sequel has seven playable characters in total, including four former villains and drop-in/drop-out co-op for up to four players. Set in Toronto, players will once again battle enemies, level up, complete quests and ultimately uncover the secrets throughout the city. And yes, there will be Vegans and other factions to combat.

While retaining the classic retro-style graphics, the story is original, written by Bryan Lee O’Malley (who worked on the graphic novel series). Based on the trailer thus far, it retains the sleek gameplay and over-the-top humor of its predecessor. Stay tuned for more details and announcements in the coming months.

Set 13 years later (and following the dismal events of The Following), Kyle Crane is back and seeking vengeance against those who imprisoned and experimented on him (in this case, a figure named The Baron). He’ll explore new locations, running across rooftops and slaying the infected with firearms and melee weapons.

Vehicles also return, as Kyle can drive a 4×4 and run over the infected. The zombie DNA in his genes means he’s able to unleash powerful new abilities, which can hopefully help him survive the night.

Dying Light: The Beast will be available for free to those who own the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2 Stay Human. More gameplay will be revealed at IGN Live today at 4 PM PST, so stay tuned.

Slight new gameplay was revealed in the trailer, which includes co-op and new bosses. Players can harness weapon types like katanas and dual blades, along with unleashing unique abilities (including summoning a piercing projectile at enemies). You can also hop on a motorcycle to traverse the world.

Stay tuned for more details in the coming months. The original Code Vein is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC and takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where only the vampire-like Revenants exist. Those who fail to satisfy their hunger morph into the Lost and go on a rampage.

With partner characters, bonding mechanics and devouring mechanics similar to God Eater 3, it offered some interesting twists on the Souls-like formula. Check out our review here.

Retailing for $29.99 and serving as a prequel to the acclaimed 2023 action RPG, Overture takes place in Krat’s past, with P teaming up with Lea, the legendary Stalker. Very little is known about the story except that players will “unravel the mysteries of the past,” which seemingly hold dire consequences.

Lies of P: Overture is about 15 to 20 hours long, though this could vary depending on your skill. Alongside new bosses and environments, there are new weapons to unlock, including Special Weapons.

Those who haven’t played the base game can check out our review here, but Overture could be a good time to jump in, thanks to a free patch that adds difficulty options. Longtime players can also jump into new Boss Rush and Boss Replay modes, each with their own unique challenges and rewards.

Announced at The Game Awards in 2021, ARC Raiders takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where machines called the Arc have wiped out most of humanity. As a raider, it’s your job to venture to the surface and gather materials, fighting to survive against any hostile Arc.

Of course, other players controlling their own raiders are also foraging, and you can either work with or betray them for resources. The gameplay loop is that of an extraction shooter. You can exit the arena at any time or stay for better rewards, though staying put means potentially losing your loot if you go down.

ARC Raiders recently had a technical test that was well received. Stay tuned for more details on other potential tests in the coming months.

Developed on Unreal Engine 5, it’s described as a spiritual successor to the first game, taking place on a global scale. There’s a greater emphasis on role-playing mechanics, and based on the trailer, new mechanics include a greater variety of vehicles, a glider, and many more new locations. Major Sergey Nechayev, known as Agent P-3, seemingly returns, but his role remains to be seen.

The clip sees him speaking to an individual part of Bridges (Lucy), who has a similar mark on her hand. Neil seemingly doesn’t remember her, prompting frustration. Kojima (via translator) notes that both are important characters and that Marinelli put in a “great performance” as Neil.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches on June 26th for PS5. While the gameplay loop still features delivering packages by navigating different terrain, there are now more options for stealth and combat. If you prefer sneaking, decoy B.T. grenades and stealth takedowns are available. The combat-focused can leverage weapons like shotguns, grenade launchers and even the MULEs’ electrified pole weapon.
