Fury Unleashed, Super Time Force Ultra, Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition and Unturned will also be available starting today.

Sony has announced its newest range of PlayStation Now titles which will be available from today onwards. These include Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age, Square Enix’s enhanced version of the PS2 RPG classic set in Ivalice, and NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat 11 (sans the DLC, of course).

Other titles include roguelike shooter Fury Unleashed, which supports solo play along with local and online co-op; Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition where players control the Kerbals as they struggle to build their own spacecraft (complete with realistic physics and aerodynamics); and Super Time Force Ultra, a run ‘n gun platformer where you rewind time to battle alongside past versions of yourself.

Sandbox zombie survival title Unturned will also be available and supports split-screen multiplayer along with 24 players online. None of these titles have a removal date so you can enjoy them at your leisure. Sony is still rumored to be working on its “counterpunch” for Xbox Game Pass and it could very well incorporate PlayStation Now. Time will tell so stay tuned for more details.

The clock is always ticking in these games, whether you know it or not.

Time is fleeting, even in video games where you should have all the time necessary to do anything. What if the timer wasn’t just in your head though? What if it was pervasive and all-consuming, forming the spine of the game itself? Here are 10 games that require playing with limited time on your hands.

Outer Wilds

The set-up of Outer Wilds, Mobius Digital’s stellar open world adventure game, is that you’re an intrepid explorer in a solar system that’s going to end. You have 20 minutes to explore nearby planets, solve mysteries and determine why the sun is going supernova and destroying everything. Spectacles like planets that are only explorable during certain time periods, shifting gravity and much more make the exploration a treat (and discoveries are tracked throughout all playthroughs).

Next month's Instant Game Collection presents a diverse offering of titles.

Sony has announced its upcoming free games for September as part of the Instant Game Collection on PlayStation Plus. All subscribers are eligible to receive six free titles depending on the platforms they own.

PS4 players will be receiving Grow Home, which was decided as part of the new Vote to Play Initiative; and Super Time Force Ultra, an awesome platformer from Capybara Games (which is also developing Below for the Xbox One and PC). Thanks to cross-buy support, Teslagrad on the PS3 and Xeodrifter on the PS Vita will also be available to PS4 owners.

What do PS3 owners get? None other than Twisted Metal, David Jaffe’s 2012 sequel which brings back the series’ signature car combat. PS Vita owners will receive La Mulana EX, an “Archeological Ruins Exploration Action” title which pays tribute to the old-school platforming games of yore.

What are your thoughts on next month’s PS Plus offerings? Let us know in the comments.

Ultra awesome.

Super Time Force ULTRA is the enhanced, newest release of Capybara Games’ Contra-esque shooter, will be hitting Steam next week on August 25, they revealed today. This new version will include 50 new Helladeck challenge levels, new interdimensional Ultra Force powers and three new unannounced characters.

As of right now, this enhanced edition is announced only for PC, but PC isn’t the only way to play Super Time Force- the original release (sans the ULTRA) is available to play on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 right now. Presumably, both those platforms will be getting ULTRA too, and it might make its way over to other systems too, including both, Nintendo, and PlayStation, which have been pretty open in their courting of indie game developers. Plus, an indie game that was originally exclusive to just one platform getting an enhanced re-release that made its way to all platforms isn’t unheard of- see Guacamelee! for a similar analog.
