A new old-school-style animation video is available, outlining the core gameplay loop. As the pilot of a Cradlecoffin, players venture to the irradiated surface in a post-apocalyptic world to mine AO Crystals with the guidance of their Magus. Extracting with said crystals allows for exchanging them for cash.

In classic extraction shooter fashion, however, dying means losing everything in your inventory and being left with nothing. Following betas from earlier this year, it should be interesting to see what improvements and new content Bandai Namco have implemented for the upcoming network test.

Synduality: Echo of Ada launches on January 23rd, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, but Deluxe Edition owners get advanced access starting January 16th.

Set in a dystopian future of 2222 with the world in ruins after a phenomenon known as “The Tears of the New Moon,” the remnants of humanity reside in Amasia. To help secure resources like AO Crystals to ensure their survival, Drifters are sent out in Cradle Coffin mechs to collect them. Each has an AI companion called a Magus to provide guidance.

As a PvEvP title, players can encounter each other in the wild and either team up or turn on each other. The closed beta will include Sorties, crafting, an Item Shop and limited amounts of Requests/Bounties, base customization and Magus customization. Stay tuned for more details en route to its arrival.

Synduality will be playable for attendees of the Tokyo Game Show from September 21st to 24th. There will also be new details during Bandai Namco’s stage event on September 24th, 12:30 PM JST. Check out the latest gameplay teaser below, which showcases different aspects of the title, from combat to the various monsters that await on the battlefield.

There’s no new gameplay, but it’s still launching this year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. The “Echo of Ada” part of the name comes from the artificial intelligence, or Magus, ADA, accompanying Alba Kuze, the protagonist, in his Coffin Cradle. Following the world’s devastation in 2222, players must gather AO Crystals to help power the city of Amasia.

Various Enders will try to stop you, leading to conflict. However, there’s an element of PvEvP as well, with other players present on the battlefield. You can either work together with them (especially if a massive Ender emerges) or fight for resources, not unlike The Division’s Dark Zone stages.

The city of powered by AO Crystals, so mining them is the key to its survival. As Alba Kuze, a Drifter, you roam the surface to collect AO Crystals, fighting off the Enders with a Coffin Cradle and Magus. The latter is an AI accompanying the mech – ADA is Alba’s Magus and has a unique personality. Bowie Rabbit is the name of Alba’s Coffin Cradle.

Along the way, one may encounter other players and either cooperate together or battle for the precious resources. Synduality is out in 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.

Further details about Synduality have been revealed through a PlayStation Blog post by producer Yosuke Futami. The game is set in the year 2222—a few years after a mysterious rain, dubbed Tears of the New Moon, started pouring and wiped out the human race.

Players take on the role of Drifters, set to try and make a living by collecting a rare resource called AO crystals, which can only be found in dangerous environments. Players pilot armed vehicles, dubbed Cradle Coffins, on their adventures. The Cradle Coffin can be customised in appearance as well as its weapons loadout.

The gameplay of Synduality will involve fighting xenomorphic creatures called Enders that are trying to stop players from gathering AO crystals. While playing online, players can also run into other players trying to clear their own missions, and a fight can break out between the two players.
