There’s also Sonic Colors: Ultimate on the PS4. This remaster of the 2010 classic platformer offers enhanced visuals, a new game mode, and more, though some changes (like the soundtrack) are a little underwhelming. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection rounds out this month’s offerings on PS4 and PS5.

It contains 13 classic titles from the franchise developed by Konami over the years, including beat ’em up Turtles in Time – both the Arcade and SNES versions. Certain titles offer local couch co-op and online play, and you can also remap buttons, save anytime, and more.

The three titles will be available starting on March 4th, replacing Payday 3, High on Life, and Pac-Man World Re-Pac.

About 350 million Foot Soldiers were beaten, and Shredder’s plans were foiled two million times (which likely equates to the number of game clears). The Turtles also saved their friends one million times.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. It collects 13 classic Konami titles, from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade) to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Radical Rescue (Game Boy).

A recent update added online multiplayer to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time (SNES), but the developer will support the same for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: The Manhattan Project (NES) in the future.

Other changes include support for the PS4’s arcade controller and Xbox arcade stick. Various enhancements have been made to different titles, like enabling or disabling Ultimate Attacks in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES / Super Famicom). The number of lives per coin in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade) (United States / Japan) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade) (United States) can now be adjusted from one to five and eight, respectively.

New Additions

• Home Menu icon changed to the box art. (Switch)
• PlayStation 4 arcade controller is now supported. PlayStation 4 joystick support has now been implemented (PlayStation 5).
• Xbox arcade stick is now supported. Xbox joystick support has now been implemented (Xbox One / Xbox Series).
• When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the lobby size for the two arcade games. Host can limit it to two, three, or four players.
• When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the frame delay to “Automatic.” When this is set, the input lag adjusts according to the number of players.
• A new enhancement added to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES / Super Famicom). Ultimate-Attacks can now be enabled in Story Mode ON/OFF.
• A new enhancement added to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Super Famicom). “Group Mode” can now be enabled ON / OFF. (Only available in the Japanese version.)
• A new enhancement added to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade) (United States / Japan). Number of lives per coin can be adjusted from one to five.

• New button action added to “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade) (United States / Japan),” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade) (United States).” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (SNES / Super Famicom),” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Heist (Genesis / Mega Drive).” Players can now assign a button to “Special.” This button presses “Attack” and “Jump” together to make it easier to do special attacks.
• A new color enhancement added to all Game Boy games. Added Game Boy Color Mode ON / OFF. A new “Color Palette” option added to the Pause Menu for all Game Boy games. In addition to other filters, players can choose between four color palettes:
  – Black and White
  – Game Boy Green
  – Game Boy Pocket Green
  – Game Boy Light Blue
• Audio for various games and the Main Menu adjusted.
• Additional pages for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (NES) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Genesis) added to the Strategy Guide.

• Visual settings are saved per game.

Issues Fixed

• German translation for “Punch Repeatedly” for Strategy Guide page 11 has been fixed.
• In the music player, the cassette tape icon for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade) show now shows the correct icon.
• On page 5 of the Strategy Guide (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (SNES)), Turtle Tip 3 screenshot has been replaced.
• In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (SNES), Stage Select enhancements now works even after settings are changed in Options.
• In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Heist, Stage Select enhancements now works when selecting two players.
• Easy Menu Navigation enhancement for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Manhattan Project (NES) / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Manhattan Project (Famicom) now work.
• Extra Credits enhancements to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES) now work.

Fellow PlayStation exclusive Horizon Forbidden West still ranks high as well, coming in at second place, in spite of a 46% drop in sales from last week. Meanwhile, in third place we have another new release with Digital Eclipse and Konami’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, while Frontier Developments’ management simulation game F1 Manager 2022 debuts in fourth place. 

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed and LEGO Brawls have both failed to break into the top 10, debuting at No. 16 and No. 30 respectively. Meanwhile, perennial sellers like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Nintendo Switch Sports once again factor into the top 10 as well.

At the recent State of Play broadcast, Konami, Nickelodeon, and Digital Eclipse announced Teenage Mutant: Ninja Turtles: The Cowbunge Collection, which might just be one of the most packed and comprehensive classic collections in recent memory. It will compile a whopping thirteen TMNT games that released for arcades, NES, SNES, Game Boy, and the Sega Genesis, including the SNES and arcade versions of TMNT: Turtles in Time.
