Telltale’s The Walking Dead Shuffles into UK Retail

If you haven’t had a chance to experience Telltale Games’ critically and commercially adventure game based on Robert Kirkman’s equally amazing comic book series, then rejoice: The Walking Dead is now available at UK retailers for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

UK gamers will be able to pick the game up from Amazon, GAME, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Smyth’s Toy Superstore, GameStop, Tesco, ShoptoNet and other online retailers.

When it first debuted last year, the series was an English-only release. The UK retail version not only collects all five episodes on to one disc but is now available in different subtitled version of French, Italian, German and Spanish to allow for gamers of different languages to enjoy the story.

The Walking Dead was the recipient of several Game of the Year awards when 2012 was all wrapped and for good reason. Its memorable cast, solid writing and decision-based gameplay had gamers on the edge of their seats. If you’re in the UK, check it out today.

Call of Duty Ghosts Spotted on UK Retailer Tesco’s Site

UK retailer Tesco had apparently put up listings for Call of Duty: Ghosts on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This is in line with an earlier Target ad which advertised the game for Wii U (also picture below).

This coincides with rumours that the next Call of Duty game – to be developed by Infinity Ward and/or Sledgehammer Games – will be centered on the side character Ghost from Modern Warfare 2. Rumours suggest that the game will be a prequel and focus on Ghost’s past life. Heck, for all we know, it could be a sequel of some sort focusing on another Ghost.

Because Activision gonna Activision.

Take this all with a grain of salt – it wouldn’t be the first time listings are found online that turn out to be completely false (then again, remember all those PS3 Slim listings? Ouch). But regardless, come May, more information will become available. So stay tuned for more details.

Tesco slash 20% off games and hardware

UK gamers rejoice. Tesco have reduced its prices on games such as Dead Space 2 and Black Ops, along with hardware by 20% as part of VAT free promotion. You can nab the deals from the supermarket’s entertainment website by entering the code “20OffGames-1” at the checkout. The code can only be used once, so make sure you use it wisely.
