Raiden is back again, this time at the Tokyo Games Show, where Kojima Productions demoed a very short clip of the game which shows our cyber ninja Raiden showing the art of Zan-Datsu along with a buddy from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The game visually does look very impressive may be even better then MGS4, but its hard to tell since it’s on screen footage.

Sony also confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be playable in 3D on the PlayStation 3 which apparently gives them one-up on the 360 version. Wonder what the 360 version will have then? Kinect support may be.

Capcom today confirmed that Steel BattalionTM Heavy Armor is in development exclusively for the Xbox 360. Steel Battalion Heavy Armor will utilise Kinect, controller free games and entertainment only on Xbox 360, to deliver an immersive battlefield experience like no other.

Steel Battalion Heavy Armor was officially announced by Keiji Inafune, Capcom’s Head of R&D Management Group and Contents Management Division, earlier today to an audience of media from across the globe at Microsoft’s Tokyo Game Show Keynote Address. “The announcement of Steel Battalion Heavy Armor is further testament to Capcom’s commitment to produce innovative titles that take advantage of the latest technology”, commented Keiji Inafune. “With Kinect’s ability to track your joints and movements and understand where the player is in 3D space and the development expertise of From Software in partnership with Capcom’s own personnel, we are confident of delivering a truly immersive experience for Xbox 360 gamers.”

“We are thrilled to once again work with our partners at Capcom and From Software to develop exclusive, innovative titles,” said Matt Barlow, General Manager, Interactive Entertainment Business Marketing for Microsoft. “It’s exciting to see publishers evolve renowned franchises like ‘Steel Battalion’ with Kinect to create gameplay that you can only experience on Xbox 360.”

Set in 2082, Steel Battalion Heavy Armor depicts a world devoid of computers, where war is waged with rudimentary weapons as new superpowers struggle for dominance. In a twist of fate, the US army has been forced to begin major landing operations on what was once its own soil. In this low-tech era there is one weapon class that will determine the course of the war – the Vertical Tank. VTs are guaranteed to instil fear in enemy forces when they burst onto the battlefield; but they are nothing without the crews who man them. Lacking computer aided weapon and piloting systems, these brave men and women must now rely on skill, intuition and each other to ensure victory.

Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that it has three new titles, DmC Devil May Cry, ASURA’S WRATH and Dead Rising 2: CASE WEST, which are currently in development. The titles were unveiled to media from across the globe at an event in Tokyo earlier this evening.
The next installment of the multi-million selling Devil May Cry franchise, DmC sees Capcom collaborating with UK based Ninja Theory to explore new frontiers for the series. DmC is in development for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3.

Dead Rising 2: Case West Trailer

Update: This video is no longer available.

From its debut on PlayStation 2 in 2001, the Devil May Cry series has been synonymous with stylish action, rewarding combat and a brash, smart-talking protagonist. This ‘Devil May Cry DNA’ remains but is now injected with a dark and brutal gameplay that promises to redefine the franchise.
Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series’ signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalized gameplay system as players encounter the game’s devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment.

DMC Devil May Cry Trailer

Update: This video is no longer available.

A true collaboration, DmC sees the team at Ninja Theory joined by key staff from Capcom’s R&D division. Creative direction for the title will be undertaken by Ninja Theory’s Tameem Antoniades and overseen by Hedeaki Itsuno, who has worked on all previous titles in the series. DmC is being co-produced by Capcom’s Japanese and North American development operations.

Asura’s Wrath Trailer

A brand new title scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and PlayStation 3, ASURA’S WRATH sees Capcom join forces with Japanese developer CyberConnect2. Inspired by Asian mythology and fused with science fiction, ASURA’S WRATH will redefine the action genre by delivering unprecedented levels of dynamism, drama and interaction.

EA has announced Shadows of the Damned at the Tokyo Games Show showcase today. Shadows of the Damned is a game which is being developed under the collaboration of EA, Goichi Suda’s Grasshopper Manufacture and Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. Judging by the trailer above I think Shadows of the Damned will be classical mix of Resident Evil 4 and Devil may Cry along with the creepy music of Silent Hill. The first trailer does look shiny and features a young dude who claims that he is the hunter of demons.

Shadows of the Damned is due next summer on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
