The Game Awards has a knack for hosting embarrassing and insane moments alike.

Ah, The Game Awards. With the awards ceremony returning on December 6th, what better time to look back on the sheer insanity and cringe that it’s been known for throughout the years? Join us as we look back on 15 moments from The Game Awards’ history that were either really cool or just really, really embarrassing.

Death Stranding Trailer Baffles Everyone – TGA 2017

It’s not like Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding was anything new at the time. However, we had only seen brief glimpses of what Hideo Kojima’s twisted mind was capable of delivering. At The Game Awards 2017, over 8 minutes of new footage was showcased and it arguably trumped everything before it. Shadowy figures, supernatural happenings – it was weird, to say the least.

You guys remember Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons from last year, right? Game was legit, it was great, and it got a lot of recognition for being an amazing title. That it came from an indie studio was even more surprising. Obviously, these guys are very talented, which is why you always want to keep an eye out for what they do next, and tonight, we found out just what that is- apparently, they are working on a brand new game with EA, and they have formed a new studio, Hazelight.

Their new game is apparently not too far along in development, which is why they could not show off much of it, but we did manage to get a new teaser, which you can see above. It looks intriguing, but beyond that, it is very hard to say anything about it at all.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.

If you ever wondered what happened to The Fullbright Company, which developed the first person adventure title Gone Home, then you’ll be happy to know that the team has returned for Tacoma. Though finer details are yet to be revealed, Tacoma appears to take place on a space station and involves the same mysterious tone and atmosphere as the studio’s eponymous first release.

Though somewhat controversial in many ways, Gone Home did garner a fair amount of critical and commercial acclaim when it released in 2013. Oddly enough, it’s still scheduled to release on the Wii U this year but it seems that Fullbright is instead focusing on its new project Tacoma.

What are your thoughts on Tacoma? Will you be partaking in the new experience or are you still reeling from the effects of Gone Home? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information and updates from The Game Awards 2014.

The Unreal Engine 4 adventure looks sleek (and somewhat terrifying).

We got our first look at Adam Orth’s upcoming first person space exploration title Adr1ft which was developed in Unreal Engine 4. Though it’s a short gameplay trailer, it does give us a fairly good idea of what to expect – namely, the first person elements and the slight survival aspects. Check it out above.

Adr1ft is the first project from Orth following his departure from Microsoft after a series of controversial tweets in 2013 prior to the Xbox One’s launch. He seems to have bounced back significantly from the same though as Adr1ft looks beautiful and unique. We’re looking forward to learning more about the game and finding out just what Adr1ft is all about.

Slated to release in Summer 2015, Adr1ft will be releasing for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates from The Game Awards 2014.

The best defense is a good offense in From Software's latest.

From Software’s Bloodborne received a brand new gameplay trailer at The Game Awards 2014 which showcased the game’s combat. Check it out above.

The trailer reveals, among many other things, the new offensive-minded style of the game. You’ll tackle different kinds of beasts while trudging through some dark, dank dungeons and use weapons like shotguns and flamethrowers. Your trusty cleaver will act as a longsword when the going gets tough but you’ll also be able to team up with two other players for the tougher fights.

On that note, the trailer ends with one of the tougher fights in the game against what seems to be a werewolf-esque creature that can move as fast as you (and hit twice as hard).

Bloodborne will be out exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on March 24th in North America and March 25th in Europe. What are your thoughts on the game thus far? Let us know in the comments below.

Nintendo kicked off The Game Awards 2014 with Shigeru Miyamoto via satellite presenting a new trailer for Mario Maker, a Wii U title in which players could create their own custom Mario courses.

In a short, new trailer for the game, Miyamoto showcased the different styles in which players could create their courses. You’ll choose from a variety of graphical styles – ranging from classic Mario Bros. to Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. Players can create their own obstacles, customizing enemies and much more.

To make things better, classic Nintendo composer Koji Kondo will also be working on the game as the sound composer and music director. Kondo opened the show with what else but the classic Mario Bros. tune on the piano.

What are your thoughts on Mario Maker? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information as The Game Awards 2014 carries on.

An event is coming soon, and it’s an event that we are most likely going to love, one that often creates a schism amongst hardcore fans of opposing games in the same genre. What are we talking about? The Game Awards 2014 of course.

Taking place on December 5th, members of the video game industry all come together under one roof in Las Vegas for a 2 hour long award ceremony that celebrates all the biggest and best games that have been brought to life recently. Produced by and quite possibly partially hosted by Geoff Keighley, the show will feature a number of world premières, with that in mind, don’t forget that Geoff tweeted a picture with the Bethesda staff that he was “planning” something with, could it be the long fabled Fallout 4?

Recently Keighley took to Twitch and answered some of the fan questions. He revealed that there will be 12 world premiers however they won’t be “world level, megaton breaking announcements.” He also asked fans to keep their expectations since that will help them overcome any possible disappointments.

Yes, you heard that right.

During a recent Twitch stream (via DualShockers), Geoff Keighley has announced that there will be 12 world premieres at the upcoming The Game Awards 2014 on December 5th 2014.

Some titles have already been more or less confirmed with Metal Gear Online to debut. We also know that there will be more single-player footage of Batman: Arkham Knight at the event. These premieres will include “really meaningful updates” about future titles but there will also be some new announcements including one that is right “out of the left field” which “people are gonna go crazy for”.

Fallout 4 hype? Why not? It wouldn’t be remiss to see the likes of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

You can expect to Sony and Microsoft there so stay tuned for more information and our live coverage of the event this Friday. What are you most looking forward to at the The Game Awards 2014? Let us know in the comments below.
