The epic journey of Kazuma Kiryu, at least on Xbox One and PC, continues with The Yakuza Remastered Collection now being available for both. It’s also out on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC along with the Microsoft Store and Steam. Check out the release trailer below to see it in action.

The Yakuza Remastered Collection contains three classic titles – Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 – all remastered and playable at 1080p/60 FPS. Some titles like Yakuza 3 have also seen cut content restored. All titles can either be purchased together with the collection or standalone.

Of course, the journey isn’t quite complete. Next up is Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, which is out on March 25th for Xbox One and PC. Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the latest chapter in the long-running saga and features a new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, along with a turn-based combat system. It’s currently available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PC with its PS5 version out on March 2nd.

For many years, Sega’s Yakuza was a PlayStation exclusive series, and one that was lucky to be localized outside Japan (often times without an English dub, for that matter). Now the series has become wide open with the franchise being opened up on Xbox and PC. The Yakuza Remastered Collection, which collects 3 titles in the series, was announced to be coming to PC and Xbox, and now we know the PC you’ll need to play them.

All three titles in the collection (Yakuza 3-5) are relatively older titles at this point, so unsurprisingly the rig you’ll need won’t be too high-end as revealed on the Microsoft store. On minimum, you’ll need an Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD FX-4350 with 4 GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 or AMD Radeon HD 5770 and recommended is still only 4 GB of RAM with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 or an AMD Radeon HD 6950 and Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350. So nothing too demanding at all.

The Yakuza Remastered Collection is available now on PlayStation 4 and will launch on Xbox One and PC on January 28th, where it will also be on Xbox Game Pass for both platforms.

The month is almost out but Xbox Game Pass still has some big name games coming up. Key among them is Control, which arrives for PC subscribers on January 21st. It’s joined by Desperados 3 and Donut County, both playable on Android, consoles and PC. Outer Wilds will also be playable on Android on the same day.

Next week sees the release of Cyber Shadow, a retro action platformer published by Yacht Club Games, on January 26th. It will be available for Android, consoles and PC. January 28th is going to be a big day though with The Medium being available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. The Yakuza Remastered Collection (which compiles Yakuza 3 to 5 Remastered) is out on the same day as well for consoles, PC, and Android.

Long story short, there’s a lot to look forward to, especially for Yakuza fans. Several titles will also be leaving the service on January 29th – you can check out more information on those here. Stay tuned for more details on Xbox Game Pass especially with February on the horizon.

Microsoft had a fairly decent presence at The Game Awards this year with The Initiative revealing its reboot of Perfect Dark at last. It also showcased a new trailer for Xbox Game Pass with current and upcoming titles. Sure, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim – Special Edition coming to the service is great but more importantly, The Yakuza Remastered Collection and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life have also been confirmed.

This means that remasters of Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 along with Yakuza 6 will be playable on Xbox platforms and PC for the first time. But that’s not all – they’ll also be available on Steam as per an official tweet. The Yakuza Remastered Collection arrives on January 28th 2021 for the platform (with each game also being sold separately) while Yakuza 6: The Song of Life arrives on March 25th 2021.

Other upcoming titles for Game Pass include Neoverse, Killer Queen Black (for console), Cyber Shadow and Among Us (for PC). The Medium is also out on January 28th 2021 for Xbox Series X/S and PC players. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Rumours have been circulating about the PS4 remasters for Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 receiving Western release dates at Gamescom. Sega has since confirmed the dates for all titles but also announced that Yakuza 3 Remaster is out now for PS4. Head on over to the PlayStation Store and pick it up now.

Yakuza 4 Remaster will be out on October 29th for PS4 while Yakuza 5 Remaster lands in February 2020. Furthermore, Sega has confirmed that there will be a physical release for all three games called The Yakuza Remastered Collection releasing in February 2020 as well. That’s a whole lot of Yakuza to keep one busy for the next few months.

There’s no announcement on when these games will be coming to PC. However, it’s good to see Sega ensuring that the entire collection is available for current gen platforms.
