Borderlands 2 “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep” DLC Now Available

Get ready to go postal with Bunkers and Badasses as Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC is now available for Borderlands 2 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. As the final DLC pack for the campaign, it sees Tiny Tina taking the original cast on a Dungeons & Dragons-style campaign filled with dragons, skeletons and much more.

In fact 2K Games president Christoph Hartmann stated that this is the “most substantial add-on campaign in the franchise’s history” and that there would more new enemy types in Assault on Dragon Keep than all of the previous DLC campaigns put together.

As an individual download, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep is available for $10, while it can also be picked up as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass for $30 – which will give an overall discount for all the packs.

Tiny Tina is in command for Borderlands 2’s new DLC – but not in the way you think. She’s effectively the DM for the board game “Bunkers and Badasses” as she challenges the original cast to a game featuring the sequel’s characters. Still with us?

The first five minutes of the game have been uploaded, and it’s already full of the same classic Borderlands humour that we know and love. Assault on Dragon Keep is essentially like a Dungeons and Dragons-esque fantasy scenario, which means skeletons, dragons and a fair amount of deus ex machina on the part of Tiny Tina.

Luckily, you still keep your guns.

As the final Borderlands 2 DLC in this Season Pass, it’ll be interesting to see what Gearbox Software comes up next. Regardless, it’s an excellent amount of value. Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep will be out on June 25th, 2013 for Borderlands 2 on Xbox 360, PC and PS3.

While the hype was large for the upcoming Krieg DLC for Borderlands 2, which added the psycho bandit to the motley crew of Vault Hunters, it gave way to an even bigger surprise with the announcement for DLC featuring Tiny Tina, the demolitions expert from the sequel.

A new screenshot has emerged for the DLC, titled “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep”, which shows the previously deceased Roland as a knight while Scooter’s cousin Ellie is…along for fending off a bunch of skeletons.

We can’t honestly say we know what the DLC is about based on this, and given the number of impossibilities on display, but we’ll roll with it for now.

Based loosely on Ashley Burch of the Hey Ash web-series, Tiny Tina plays a pivotal role in the game with her knowledge of explosives and mean free-styling. The DLC is set to debut on June 25th for $9.99, and is the final DLC include in the Season Pass for Borderlands 2.
