The two games can be added permanently to your Steam account alongside a big sale of THQ Nordic titles on the platform.

One of the most unexpected stories of the last few years has been the emergence of THQ Nordic. The company takes a once defunct publisher name and has been doing all kinds of revivals of IPs related to the once prolific game brand. They are set to have a showcase later this month, and in the meantime they have a big sale via Steam and that includes some neat freebies.

The Steam sale currently ongoing has plenty of discounts on titles from THQ, including Destroy All Humans!, Biomutant, Elex and a host more, including a free trial period for Desperados 3. But two of those titles you can get for free forever. One of those is Titan Quest: Anniversary Collection, and includes the base company revived in 2018 as well as its expansion that came many years later. The other is Jagged Alliance: Gold Edition, which sees the classic and influential turn-based tactics game from 1994 alongside its expansion/spinoff, Deadly Games.

Both titles can be claimed via Steam until September 23rd. The THQ Showcase is set for September 17th.

It’s been over a decade, but a third expansion is here.

Titan Quest originally came out all the way back in 2006. A Diablo-inspired hack and slash title, the action RPG was largely met with solid reception. It was a bit of a victim of circumstances, as not too long after it and its first expansion, Immortal Throne, released, the game’s publisher THQ (not to be confused with the current publisher that took the name, THQ Nordic) went under. But a decade later in 2017, the series came back with the Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition to PC and current consoles with a new expansion, Raganork. But it seems they weren’t finished either, as a third expansion was stealth released yesterday.

Titled Atlantis, the expansion dropped with no announcement. It includes a new story chapter playable either solo or with up to 6 players that includes new items and gear. Along with that comes an Endless Mode challenge, where you and up to 5 other players fight waves of enemies with randomized elements.

Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The Atlantis expansion is available now on PC, with no word yet on if or when it will come to consoles.

Nintendo Switch version also coming out next year "when it's ready."

THQ Nordic has been doing quite a bit to support Titan Quest lately, first releasing the Anniversary Edition last year and then following it up with the new Ragnarok expansion this year. However, the developer is taking things to the next level by releasing Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition for the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2018.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions will be releasing on March 20th 2018 for $29.99 with Standard Edition including the original game and the Immortal Throne expansion. The Collector’s Edition will cost $119.99 and feature the base game, Immortal Throne, a Greek War helmet replica that’s 9 inches tall, a premium box and a notepad. This bundle will also be available for the PC and cost $109.99.

As for the Nintendo Switch version, you can expect it to release “when it’s ready” as per THQ Nordic. In the meantime, Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition can be purchased on Steam with Ragnarok sold separately.

New items, armour, the Runemaster mastery and much more now available for $14.99.

Titan Quest has received a new expansion after nearly a decade with Ragnarok and it adds a new mastery, new weapons, armour and much more for long time fans. Though the original team members are currently busy at Crate Entertainment with Grim Dawn, Ragnarok has been handled by THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive (of Magicka 2 fame).

Along with a max level cap of 85, players can experience the new Runemaster class which specializes in weapons and magic. The mastery can be combined with others for 45 different combinations, adding even more customization. Character customization has been improved with the additional of regional styles, dyes and the ability to wear pants (yes, seriously).

The expansion also boasts the “largest” story act till date as players venture to the realms of Norse mythology to fight new threats. New side quests have been added along with new secrets and items in previous acts of the game. To learn more about Titan Quest: Ragnarok, head here or check out the trailer below – it retails for $14.99 while Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition can be purchased for $3.99.
