Capcom even teased the game at Comic-Con earlier. And now, EGM is reporting that Capcom will finally announce the game at their TGS conference, which takes place very soon.

An anonymous source told the site that the RE series will finally “go back to its roots” with an entire revamp and retain “what made Resident Evil so great to begin with,” as fans have been clamoring for over a year.

Capcom is also placing a “real emphasis” on making the game “brutally scary.” When Capcom was asked about this, they remained silent.

“Capcom has not made any announcements [about Resident Evil 6] and does not comment on rumors,” they said.

Recently, a CG artist’s LinkedIn profile also kind of revealed that RE6 is in development.

Nintendo announced at their TGS 2011 presser that the two highly anticipated Mario games on the 3DS, Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land, will be released December 4th and November 13th respectively. This comes after Nintendo announced the names and the release windows of these gamesa while back.

Mario Kart 7 will be released in Japan 3 days after its release in Us, on December 7. Super Mario 3D Land, however, will release ten days early in Japan, on November 3.

See some of the gameplay footage for Mario Kart 7 here, it looks great. We, personally, cannot wait to get our hands on it.

Nintendo also released some new details on Mario Kart 7. Two new characters will be featured in the game. Lakitu with a cart similar to the cloud he is always riding, and Metal Mario.

New modes like a cockpit view which can be controlled via the 3DS’ in-built gyroscope, will also be included in the game, and a trick system similar to what we saw in Mario Kart Wii will also be featured. An 8-player online mode will also be featured.

You can also connect to your friend in Mario Kart 7 via Niontendo 3DS Friend Codes, a feature that no other 3DS game sports right now.

Stay tuned to GB for more updates.

Thanks, IGN!

A new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was shown during Nintendo’s TGS conference. And all those who though the game looks bad, be prepared for a shock. A huge shock. The game looks brilliant. Not just artistically, but technically as well. The graphics are really sharp and clean, and it just looks beautiful. Looks like Nintendo is finally pushing the Wii to its maximum.

Nintendo also announced that Skyward Sword will have about 50 to 100 hours of gameplay. That’s huge.

A second playthrough and a boss challenge mode, along with the main, first playthrough, will all add up to above 50 hours of gameplay, and maybe much more. Skyward Sword is also supposed to have a hint system like in Ocarina of Time 3D.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will release later this year on the Wii.

Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed several details on the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII-2 in a fan event which took place over the week, as reported by Andriasang.

He first announced that the game’s development is now 90% complete, after a one and a half year development time till now. He said that the release date will be confirmed at an event in Tokyo, which is obviously TGS (Tokyo Game Show), which kicks off Thursday morning. We do know that the game’s slated for a January 2012 release in the US and early 2012 in the UK, but if development is going so strong, with even English voice work out of the way, who knows, we could have the game by December.

When asked how long the game will be, Kitase said that the main plotline will be shorter than Final Fantasy XIII’s, but extra content will keep fans busy. When asked if the game will have any DLC, he was told by the PR guys to not answer. Unfortunately. But he did say they’re looking into it.

Hints about a planned special edition for the game, and players with FFXIII save files being rewarded in XIII-2, were also dropped.

A lot more details on the game were revealed. You can check them all out through the link above.

New screens for Final Fantasy XIII-2 were recently revealed, and they look gorgeous. Have a look here. You can also read the seven things we want to see in FFXIII-2 here.
