The title is set in Kyoto and follows “juveniles” who venture through the realm of Xanadu. Though it’s in the same world as the previous game, the setting is all-new. Also, if there was any confusion, this is a brand-new title, and its game systems have been developed from the ground up.

No further details were provided, but it’s likely using Falcom’s new engine that debuted with The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki (launching this July worldwide as Trails through Daybreak).
