Ubisoft, the developer behind such massive franchises as Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy’ Ghost Recon and Might & Magic, has launched a new limited edition merchandise based on their popular series: A hand crafted, highly detailed Ezio figure has been produced in a limited edition of 2000, a figurine of Might & Magic VI’s Archangel has been produced in an edition of 500 and, from Ghost Recon, a limited batch of ‘production team’ shirts, with the same design as those worn by the development team during this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, have been made available. UbiCollectibles are available exclusively through UbiShop, Ubisoft’s official online store, and the store is now accepting pre-orders from European customers.

Ubisoft took the stage during Microsoft’s presser to demonstrate how Ubisoft planned on incorporating the Kinect in its future core games, including the upcoming Gjost Recon: Future Soldier. All future Tom Clancy titles will include Kinect support.

Showing how a weapon could be customized using voice commands and gestures (over 20 million of them can be recognized by the game), before moving on to show how the Kinect can be used to control weapons as well, it was a statement of intent on both, Microsoft’s part as well as Ubisoft’s, to prove once and for all that Kinect can be more than just a novelty.
