We all had a great year in 2013, experiencing some awesome games. For some of us, we had moments in gaming that really caught our attention and moments that made us laugh. Some moments however escape us in a blink of an eye in certain scenes or videos, but that’s what GIFs are for – to help you remember some awesome and funny moments in gaming that happened last year. This week we bring you some of the top gaming GIFs from 2013, right from the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 announcements to E3 and much more.

100. Nintendo Direct

If you want to express how you feel about a certain company or product, then always do a GIF through the Simpsons. This is exactly how fans around the world feel, whenever Nintendo announces a new Nintendo Direct. Granted that they have certain games or products which are cool, but it’s nothing fresh or ground breaking, and fans are just anxious for something new. While we wait for Nintendo to announce anything worthwhile, let’s all board the hype train.

All of us have endured some brutal games and have come through successfully, and most of the time frustratingly. There were times where some deaths were just plain stupid and totally our fault and we were hoping no one saw how we died, because it would just ruin our reputations as gamers. Well we are here to bring you some good news; you are not alone. There are tons of gamers that have figured out some truly dumb ways you can die in a video game, and this list gives you an idea of what not to do so that you can avoid their fate.

100. Thief – Activating alarms meant for guards

I got to admit there are times when I have done this myself, out of pure curiosity, wondering what this button does and boy did I regret it. Once you activate this alarm, you might as well reload from your previous save, because there is no way that you are getting out alive. All the guards and their mothers will come and beat the living hell out of you.

The reason why it is so popular is because it gives a chance to the player to create massive worlds of their own and see it come to life the way they want it to. The sky is the limit for anyone that has the creativity and patience to see their creation to the end. There are immense collection of cities, and real world buildings, as well as popular video games created in Minecraft, each painstakingly assembled block-by-block as well as the maps created in Minecraft are quite fun to explore. Here are some of the best Minecraft creations we have come across.

Easily one of the most stunning creations in Minecraft, this huge world contains one of the most detailed looking structures. This Minecraft creation is just one of the most stunning build shown off some excellent rendering and shadow effects. The scale of this project is massive and if you observe, nothing has been ignored and almost everything has been given excellent attention.

Of course each person will have their own interpretation of each picture, but the common ground for us is that each one of them holds a personal meaning to us. It may bring us back to the days where gaming world was simpler, or even it could just be a feeling of reflection as you slip away into a nostalgic moment. But sometimes the image looks downright stunning that you just can’t help but stare at it for hours because you never imagined that video games would evolve to such a level. With that being said let us take a look at some of the best screenshots in video games that were released in 2013.

This game has been in development for almost 4 years despite being missing in action the screenshot above captures your attention and touches a few emotional strings. Rain is one of those games that make you feel isolated similar to games like Shadow of Colossus. It teaches us life is so much better with teamwork, and things get easier when the two figures help each other out.

We take a look at some of these controversies from the last generation that made some of the games popular or quite hated. And I’m sure that with release of next gen console’s that the controversies have just begun and we are yet to see and experience more bizarre events in the coming years. We will also take a look at some awful moments in gaming that actually made us wonder why they were implemented at the first place.

1. Call of Duty Modern Warfare- Nuke

Modern Warfare had some great set pieces , but it also had its moments of shock and awe. In one of the missions appropriately titled Shock and Awe, a nuclear bomb goes off and the blast kills 30,000 US soldiers in game. This moment shocked a lot of people because no one expected the bad guys to win and certainly no one expected the character that you were playing to die.

Games that have inspired us, awed us and really defined us as gamers. Some of these games have been a symbol of gaming excellence and will continue to be in our thoughts and hearts for many years to come. And though some of these games are not PC exclusive, they were just too good to be left out on this list. So if you are looking for the best PC games to play and feel like a blast from the past, this list is for you.

100. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory was probably the last Splinter Cell I (and several other fans) probably enjoyed thoroughly. The game really goes above and beyond in terms of stealth, gameplay and story. There are many ways you can go about your mission and there are plenty of gadgets that will really make you feel like a bad-ass. The game’s plot goes through various twists and turns, but ultimately it is a satisfying conclusion worthy of a Tom Clancy title.

We have all at one point in time wanted to get a certain gaming accessory, be it light guns or Guitar Hero accessories. Unfortunately it is a truly a disappointing moment when we found out later how useless a particular accessory was. Over the years we have realized that only a few accessories are actually usable. Most of them are quite frankly a waste of plastic and money. For this purpose we have compiled a list of video games accessories that should not have existed.

100. Wii Zapper

Guns in video games are always a good thing and we’ve all had a good time with first person shooter, but the Wii Zapper is just a bad peripheral in terms of usage. It really doesn’t do anything, besides just look cool. The player can easily play a first person game using the standard Wii controller. The zapper bought nothing new to the table and gamers found it extremely hard to aim and shoot enemies.

A list of features that may make your jaw drop and make you even more impatient for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Consoles have come a long way, right from the time when we held our first controller and knew that gaming was going to be a good and memorable part of our lives. The evolution of consoles has now become a war of sorts. The duel between two consoles has divided friends and foes alike, and debates have sparked up in forums and chat rooms, in deciding which is the better console to buy.

We at Gaming Bolt created this feature to give a taste to those who want to know more about their favorite consoles. And since most of you are absolutely ecstatic about the upcoming systems from Sony and Microsoft, here is a list of facts that you probably didn’t know.

For more exciting features and top 10 lists, please click here. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more news and updates.

100. You Can Fully Install Disc Games on PS4′s HDD

The PlayStation 4 can achieve 1080p games at 60 frames per second, those HD games can be fully installed onto the PS4 Hard Drive from Blu-ray titles. These Blu-ray titles will be cached into the hard drive to make sure that your gaming experience is as smooth as possible. This feature is quite ingenious and Sony is making sure they are leaving no stone un-turned.

Moments that will make you wonder and ask yourself, "why aren't other games like this?"

Grand Theft Auto 5 is not just a entertainment product but it is an amazing journey in which you would love to get lost in. It has not only created history but it also managed to knock us off our socks in more ways than one. And we are pretty sure that this game will be around in our memories for decades to come.

Many gamers have had the curiosity to go deeper into the world of Grand Theft Auto 5 and find out what features that Rockstar wants us to notice or find out. So we decided to make that search easy and make a list of the incredible details in Grand Theft Auto V that you may have missed.

Note: The list is in random order and certain images have been used for representation purpose only. Big thank you to Grand Theft Auto 5’s sub Reddit for these awesome finds.

100. You can survive a fall without using a parachute:

Jump to 1 min: 28 seconds mark in the video.

I know this sounds bizarre but it’s actually true. Trying un-equipping your parachute and step off a high storey building and watch as your character falls helplessly to the ground and be amazed as he just gets up and dusts himself off, as if nothing happened. However the main character’s special ability needs to be activated while you are falling down.

Some of the best GTA moments that every player should experience.

Grand Theft Auto has been one of gaming’s most recognized franchises. Started way back in 1997, it spawned a series of controversies, issues, and not to mention a huge profit that was made with these games. For those of us who played any of the GTA games, will have some fond memories, be it certain missions, side quests, trying out a new vehicle, or just causing random chaos.

All of these things carries with them a sense of nostalgia and it does make us want to go back and relive those moments again and again. We take a look at some of the very best moments in the GTA timeline from the original through Grand Theft Auto V.

Note: This list is in random order.

100. 5 stars police chase (GTA 5)

It is something that every player must attempt at least once through their gameplay experience. There is something awesome about the entire police force trying to take you down by any means necessary. After causing considerable chaos and destruction, the Los Santos police department goes all Rambo on you and what ensues is a very high speed, high risk police chase. The video is quite awesome so do watch it all the way.
