First Person mode

While not a moment per-say, playing in first person on next-gen consoles changed the whole context of GTA. The Grand Theft Auto series has always been about playing as a character, but playing the game as an FPS allowed the player to further inhabit the world. what this also meant, was that every violent and criminal act looked as if it was being carried out by the player instead of simply a character or avatar. being put in the shoes of the series criminals changed the way all of the games action were perceived by the player, as the new viewpoint drew us all further into the action.
