Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Free Trial Open to All on PS3/PS4

Square Enix is offering a free trial of its MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to PS3 and PS4 players. Though it was initially restricted to PlayStation Plus subscribers, the free trial is now open to all. Check out the “Winter Parade” trailer above to help celebrate the occasion.

You’ll be able to play for 14 days with the free trial and achieve a maximum level of 20. If you pick up the full game, you’ll be able to transfer your character into the full game.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has seen several updates and changes since its release. The first major expansion to arrive is Heavensward which adds some new areas and missions, a new story which deals with the Dragonsong War and a new class (not to mention an increased level cap).

Destiny Free Trial Available on North America PS Store

Bungie’s Destiny has been the subject of much controversy since its release but has also received a number of patches and fixes to make things better for players. Now is probably the best time to join in on the fun with the ongoing Iron Banner 2.0 event and the upcoming The Dark Below expansion.

This is probably why Bungie is offering a free trial for Destiny to PS3 and PS4 owners on the PlayStation Store. As of now, it’s limited to North America but should make its way to other markets in this week. It’s a limited time demo and you’ll have the option to import your Guardian into the full game when it’s over. If you’ve been wanting to give Destiny a try but aren’t sure whether it’s worth your time and money, this is the best way to find out.

Destiny: The Dark Below will meanwhile be releasing on December 9th for the Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 at $19.99.

Tearaway Launch Trailer Arrives, Free Trial Arrives on PS Store

Media Molecule has released a new trailer for platformer Tearaway today, showcasing the various methods you can play the game and the mechanics it utilizes. This includes the PS Vita’s touch-screen and the rear touch pad for, say, thumping on musical drum instruments to reach higher places. Check it out above.

It’s also been revealed that the community website Tearaway.me is live along with a free trial of the game available on the PlayStation Store. If your curious to see how the game plays and whether it will be worth the purchase (though judging by the highly positive reviews for the same, we’d gather it’s worth it). Players can use the community site to upload in-game pictures along with papercraft models that they’ve discovered.

Tearaway will be releasing on the PlayStation Vita in both Europe and North America on November 22nd. Stay tuned for more details along with a review when the game launches.
