Rumours have been flying around for quite some time that screen legend Robert De Niro will also be involved in the project. Speaking to MTV recently De Niro said he was open to the project, though had not read the script and was basing his judgment on O’ Russell’s other work. A few days later he told IGN it “potentially could be something.”

Although, most of the gaming world wanted to see Nathan Fillion fill in the role of videogame hero, Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted Movie being made by David Russell, Mark Wahlberg was cast in the role.

A massive outrage followed this news but the guy who was responsible for it all seems to be pretty cool and supportive about it.

He Tweeted that:

“Just watched The Other Guys, and honestly excited to see Wahlberg in Drake’s Fortune. He’s got mad skills.”

This shows how sporting the guy is, since he himself said earlier that he wouldn’t mind being cast in the role.

The movie, directed by Russell won’t be releasing anytime soon.

Your hero Nathan Drake will not be seen on the silver screen indefinitely. It has been reported that the film has been set back indefinitely. The reason being that David O. Russell, the Director of the film has turned the project down. It seems like there were differences between the director and the producers of the film.

So there it goes out of the window. Now weep as hard as you can and pray that film is back on it’s rails soon.
