Some tech tips for the Madden NFL 19 on PC.

Madden NFL 19 works fine for the most part on PC, but there are a few prominent issues in it which can sour your experience with the game. The most common issues players have encountered is a black screen that pops up all of a sudden. If you’ve been having any problems running the game on PC, then this guide may help you out.

First, the specs:

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core i3-4350, FX-4330, or equivalent

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 8 GB

OS: Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660, AMD Radeon RX 460

FREE DISK SPACE: 48.5 GB

Recommended Requirements

CPU: Intel Core i3-4350, FX-4330, or equivalent

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 8 GB

OS: Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 670

FREE DISK SPACE: 48.5 GB

Please be advised that the following methods are to be used at the sole discretion of the system owner. GamingBolt or its staff members take no responsibility for problems that may arise or issues that may occur from trying the below. Always remember that official support is always the best support.

GENERAL FIXES

Generally speaking, some basic troubleshooting tips should always help you resolve whatever issue you are facing with the PC version of any game. If you are running into problems, maybe first attempt the following steps, and if they don’t work out, look into some of the more specific fixes we have below.

Make sure the drivers on your PC are updated

If you have two GPUs, make sure you are using the discrete GPU instead of the integrated one

Set Madden NFL 19’s priority to High in the Task Manager Turn off any background programs, including firewalls, chat clients, video recorders, and overlays

Try lowering visual settings on the game to see if that improves game performance

Make sure you have Windows updated before you attempt to play Madden NFL 19.

FREEZING ERROR

Some players have reported that their game randomly freezes in the middle of a match. The solution to this is quite simple and all you have to do is disconnect any unnecessary USB device from your PC. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue for you.

“Dx11Renderer::tryMap” ERROR

If you encounter this error when trying to launch the game, you can try reinstalling your GPU driver by opting to do a clean install. If that doesn’t work, then try running DirectX from the game’s folder, and this should fix the issue for you.

STUCK AT BLACK SCREEN

Ideally once players change the game’s graphical settings or change from DirectX 11 to DirectX 12, then the game must restart. The problem is that it won’t restart and will instead be stuck at a black screen. You can fix the issue by either:

Changing the graphical settings in the config file

Or by deleting the file itself.

AUDIO STUTTERING

One prominent issue with the game that players have experienced is that the sound stutters randomly. This can be resolved by:

Open up ‘Playback Devices’

Navigate to the properties of the device you are using.

Navigate to the Advanced tab and you will be able to see a bunch of options for bit depth and sample rate.

You will just have to keep trying each one until one of them fixes the problem.

MENU NOT SHOWING

You may encounter an error where you can’t see the menu once you start up the game. This issue can be fixed by clearing the Origin cache.

A Redistributable Package (DirectX) Was Not Installed Successfully

Some players have reported that they encounter this error when trying to install the game but the installation ends up failing. You can fix the error message by going to the DirectX folder inside of the game folder . Here, delete all of the .CAB files and once you’ve done that, just repair the game via Origin and this should lead to the game being installed successfully.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of Madden NFL 19.

Dark Souls Remastered is finally out and you will now be able to experience this beloved masterpiece all over again. This time around, the game works much better on PC than the original version did. However, some players have experienced a few issues with the game. If you’ve been experiencing any such problems, then this guide is here to help you out!

First, the specs:

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: AMD FX-8150 / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or Intel Core I5-2500K

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 4 GB

OS: Windows 7 SP1 64bit, Windows 8.1 64bit Windows 10 64bit

VIDEO CARD: Minimum 2GB VRAM (AMD Radeon HD7870, etc) or Nvidia GeForce GTX760

SOUND CARD: DirectX 11 sound device

FREE DISK SPACE: 8 GB

Recommended Requirements:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core I7-4790K

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 8 GB

OS: Windows 7 SP1 64bit, Windows 8.1 64bit Windows 10 64bit

VIDEO CARD: AMD Radeon R9 290x or Nvidia GeForce GTX970

SOUND CARD: DirectX 11 sound device

FREE DISK SPACE: 8 GB

Set Dark Souls Remastered’s priority to High in the Task Manager Turn off any background programs, including firewalls, chat clients, video recorders, and overlays

Try lowering visual settings on the game to see if that improves game performance

Make sure you have Windows updated before you attempt to play Dark Souls Remastered.

BLACK SCREEN ERROR

If you’re experiencing an issue where you encounter a black screen when you start up the game, then there’s a simple solution for it. The problem is caused because the game’s default resolution is set higher than your monitor’s native resolution. To fix the issue, just start up the game and then press ALT+ENTER to bring the game to windowed mode. Now, change the game’s resolution so that it matches your monitor’s native resolution. Once you do this, the problem will be resolved!

UNABLE TO CREATE NEW SAVE

If you’ve been unable to save the game, then the problem is most likely caused because of your anti-virus. Just add the game as an exception in your anti-virus software, and this problem will no longer bother you!

GREEN SCREEN FLICKERING

Some players have reported experiencing a problem where they see a green screen flicker when they start the game. The problem is related to the Desktop color depth and can be solved quite easily. Just open Nvidia Control Panel, navigate to ‘Change Resolution’ and under ‘Desktop Color Depth’ select ‘Highest (32 bit). This should resolve the issue for you!

GAME CRASHING

If you find that your game crashes every once in while, then the problem may be related to what the refresh rate is set as. To fix the issue, just navigate to ‘C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\NBGI\DarkSouls\DarkSouls.ini’ and open the ‘DarkSouls.ini’ file. Now, change the refresh rate to 60, and the problem will be fixed!

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of Dark Souls Remastered.

State of Decay 2 is now available for the PC and Xbox One. So if you’re looking for a zombie survival game, then this might be the game for you. With that said, PC users have reported experiencing some minor issues with the game. Luckily, these can be solved with some simple tweaks and solutions which can be found below.

First, the specs:

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 or Intel i5-2500 @ 2.7GHz

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 8 GB

OS: Windows 10

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon HD 7870

Recommended Requirements:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 or i5 4570 @ 3.2 GHz

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 16 GB

OS: Windows 10

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 380

Please be advised that the following methods are to be used at the sole discretion of the system owner. GamingBolt or its staff members take no responsibility for problems that may arise or issues that may occur from trying the below. Always remember that official support is always the best support.

Make sure you have Windows updated before you attempt to play State of Decay 2.

BLACK SCREEN ERROR

If you experience an issue in the game where the screen goes black, then it can be resolved quite easily. The problem is most likely caused because the game’s resolution is set higher than your monitor’s native resolution. To fix the issue, press ALT+ENTER to bring the game to windowed mode, and then change the resolution so that it fits your monitor’s native resolution.

GAME CRASHES OR DOES NOT START

If you find that the game does not launch for you or that it crashes right after launching, then you can fix the issue by following these steps. First, press the Win Key+R to open ‘Run’. Once you have done this, copy and paste this: %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Dayton_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\StateOfDecay2.

You will now be able too see the error log and if it states “Failed to choose a D3D11 Adapter”, then you can fix the problem by installing the latest Windows updates and DirectX version.

CODE 6 ERROR

If you are getting an error known as Code 6 when you try to play the game, then you can solve the issue quite easily. All you have to do is go to your Windows Firewall properties and ensure that outbound is allowed while inbound is not allowed. Once you do this, the problem will be solved and you will be able to run the game without any issues.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of State of Decay 2.

If you’re encountering a problem where the screen goes black when you start up the game, then the solution is pretty simple. Just press ALT+ENTER to bring it to windowed mode and then change the resolution to your monitor’s native resolution. This problem is caused because the game’s resolution is set higher than your monitor’s native resolution.

Alternatively, you can just go to C: users\”name”\appdata%\11bitstudios\frostpunk\config.bin and then just change the resolution there by opening the config file with notepad.

MSVCP140.DLL IS MISSING

If you encounter this error, then there’s an easy fix for it. Just download Visual C++ Redistributable and the problem will be resolved for you. Try running the game again after doing so and it will run without any problems.

D3DCOMPILER_47.DLL IS MISSING

You might encounter this error when trying to start the game up, but the solution for this is quite simple as well. Just download Microsoft .NET Framework and the issue will be resolved.

MSVCP120.DLL IS MISSING

This is another problem where you can fix the issue just by downloading the required package. For this error, just download isual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 and the problem will be fixed.

GAME NOT STARTING ON WINDOWS 7

Windows 7 users usually have a hard time with lots of games and they encounter some varied problems with this game. One possible problem may be that api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-2-0.dll file is missing. To fix this issue, just download the file manually online and then paste it in C: Windows\SysWOW64. This should resolve the issue for you.

INPUT NOT SUPPORTED

To fix this issue, go to C: users\”name”\appdata%\11bitstudios\frostpunk\config.bin and open the config file with Notepad and change the refresh rate to your monitor’s refresh rate. You can find your monitor’s refresh rate by just checking online.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of Final Fantasy 15.

Some tech tips for Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy 15 is a great port and runs great on PC for the most part. It’s also the game that has revitalized the Final Fantasy series as a whole. Although it has its share of flaws, it’s a game that has a lot going for it, including its gorgeous visuals and fun gameplay. However, being as large a game as it is, it has its own share of problems. If you’ve been facing any such problems with running the game on your PC, then this guide is here to help you out.

First, the specs:

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 / AMD FX-6100

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 8 GB

OS: Windows® 7 SP1/ Windows® 8.1 / Windows® 10 64-bit

VIDEO CARD: GeForce GTX 760 / GeForce GTX 1050 / Radeon R9 280

SOUND CARD: DirectSound® Sound Card, Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos

FREE DISK SPACE: 100 GB

Recommended Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-8350

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 16 GB

OS: Windows® 7 64 bit, Windows® 8.1 64 bit, Windows® 10 64 bit

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB VRAMRadeon RX 480

SOUND CARD: DirectSound® Sound Card, Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos

FREE DISK SPACE: 155 GB

Set Final Fantasy 15’s priority to High in the Task Manager Turn off any background programs, including firewalls, chat clients, video recorders, and overlays

Try lowering visual settings on the game to see if that improves game performance

Make sure you have Windows updated before you attempt to play Final Fantasy 15.

CRASHING ISSUES

If you’ve been encountering a problem where the game keeps crashing, it’s most likely an issue with the latest Nvidia drivers. Just roll back to a previous version and this should fix this issue for you. You can also try to verify the integrity of the files downloaded in Steam to check if all the files have downloaded correctly. Additionally, you may find that the problem is caused because of problems with the VRAM. Just set this to lower settings and the game should work properly.

If you find that the problem still persists, then it may be a problem with your PSU (Power Supply Unit). This may be because the PSU is unable to supply enough power to the GPU and CPU which will result in the game crashing. You can try changing the PSU to fix this problem.

CONTROLLER NOT WORKING

Some of you may be facing a problem where your controller is not working in the game. This is a problem that can be solved easily simply by going to your Steam settings and checking which controller is selected. If what is selected is an Xbox 360 pad, then you can try changing to simply Xbox controller. This should fix the issue for you.

LOW FPS AND STUTTERING

This is quite a strange problem and occurs when you are playing the game using a controller. For now, the easiest way to fix this issue is to simply play the game using a keyboard and mouse.

CHARACTER FLICKERING

To fix this, just update to the latest version of DirectX.

BLACK SCREEN FIX

If you’re encountering a black screen when you run the game, then it’s most likely because the game’s default resolution is set higher than your monitor’s native resolution. To fix this problem, just press ALT + ENTER to bring the game to windowed mode. Following this, change the game’s resolution to your monitor’s native resolution. This should fix the problem.

DUAL MONITOR FIX

Some players using dual monitors have encountered an issue where the game only displays on one monitor and not the other. For now, to fix the issue just use ALT + ENTER to bring the game to windowed mode and following this, you should be able to see the game appear on both monitors. Now, make it fullscreen mode and the game will still appear on both monitors.

ASSETS OPTION GREYED OUT

If you have this problem even though it shows that 4K textures are installed, then there is a solution. To fix the problem, you need to install the 4K textures as Steam may be incorrectly showing that they are already installed. In Steam, just tick the box for the 4K Textures DLC and it should automatically begin downloading. This will resolve the problem for you.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of Final Fantasy 15.

Some tech tips for Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is off to a great start and it’s certainly turning out to be a really interesting fighting game. Overall, the game runs on PC without any major problems but some players have reported some issues with the game including performance issues, crashes, and more. If you’ve been facing any such issues with the game, then don’t worry, this guide is here to help you out.

First, the specs:

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: AMD FX-4350, 4.2 GHz / Intel Core i5-3470, 3.20 GHz

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 4 GB

OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)

VIDEO CARD: Radeon HD 6870, 1 GB / GeForce GTX 650 Ti, 1 GB

SOUND CARD: DirectX compatible soundcard or onboard chipset

Recommended Requirements:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400, 3.2 GHz / Intel Core i7-3770, 3.40 GHz

CPU SPEED: Info

RAM: 8 GB

OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)

VIDEO CARD: Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB / GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB

SOUND CARD: DirectX compatible soundcard or onboard chipset

Set Dragon BallFighterZ’s priority to High in the Task Manager Turn off any background programs, including firewalls, chat clients, video recorders, and overlays

Try lowering visual settings on the game to see if that improves game performance

Make sure you have Windows updated before you attempt to play Dragon Ball FighterZ.

UNTRUSTED SYSTEM FILE ERROR

If you are experiencing the Untrusted System File C:Windows/System32/safeips64.dll error in the game, then it’s most likely because your anti-virus is interfering with the game and preventing it from working properly. To get rid of this problem, simply add the game folder as an exception in your anti- virus software’s settings.

BLACK SCREEN

If your game is experiencing problems with a black screen when you try to launch, it is likely because the game’s default resolution is higher than your monitor’s native resolution. To fix this, press ‘ALT+ENTER’ to bring the game to windowed mode, and then change the game’s resolution to whatever resolution you want to, as long as it is not higher than the TV’s native resolution.

FATAL ERROR

If you receive this error, just open ‘Run’ by pressing the Windows Button along with ‘R’. Now, type in “%localappdata%” and hit enter and you’ll see a bunch of folders there. If you see a Dragon Ball FighterZ folder there, then just delete this folder to resolve the issue.

If the above method doesn’t work, then there’s another solution that might work for you. First just go to the Steam folder for the game. Next, download all the DirectX files and just paste them in the Win64 folder. This should fix the issue for you.

MEMORY COULD NOT BE READ ERROR

This is quite a complicated error and it could be caused by a number of issues. If this is the case, then you can try and increase your computer’s virtual memory. To do this, just right-click ‘My Computer’ and then go to the ‘Advanced System Settings’ tab and then select ‘settings’. Once again, click on the ‘Advanced’ tab and then click the ‘change’ button under the Virtual Memory section. Hopefully, this will fix the issue for you.

You might find that the issue still persists. One reason might be that your drivers are outdated, so make sure you update your drivers in case you’re facing this problem.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Some tech tips for LEGO Marvel Super Hero 2.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is basically the kind of game that you want to play with your entire family; resultantly, it is the kind of game that more people would want to buy on consoles rather than on PC. Which is a shame, because the PC version of the game is really quite good- there are some errors, but it is clear it is a well made, well optimized product.

That said, there is, of course, always the possibility that you run into some problems- this kind of thing can be hard to avoid given the sheer variance in PC builds that there is. So if that happens to you, never fear- we’ll help.

But first, the specs:

MINIMUM:

OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 x86 and x64

Processor: Intel Core i3-3240 (2 * 3400) or equivalent, AMD Athlon X4 740 (2 * 3200) or equivalent

Memory: 4 GB RAM

Graphics: GeForce GTX 460 (1024 MB), Intel Iris Pro 5200 (shared), Radeon HD 5850 (1024 MB)

DirectX: Version 11

Network: Broadband Internet connection

Storage: 16 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:

OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 x86 and x64

Processor: Intel Core i5-4570T (2*2900) or equivalent, AMD FX-6350 (6 * 3900) or equivalent

Memory: 4 GB RAM

Graphics: GeForce GTX 750 Ti (2048 MB), Radeon HD 7970 (3072 MB)

DirectX: Version 11

Network: Broadband Internet connection

Storage: 16 GB available space

Set LEGO Marvel Super Hero 2‘s priority to High in the Task Manager Turn off any background programs, including firewalls, chat clients, video recorders, and overlays

Try lowering visual settings on the game to see if that improves game performance

Make sure you have Windows updated before you attempt to play LEGO Marvel Super Hero 2.

GAME CRASHES

This error is known to occur with an out of ate GPU or its drivers. Please ensure your GPU drivers are updated

NO INPUT

This error occurs when the game asks you to press ‘L’ but doesn’t detect you pressing anything. There is a reason this happens- the L it means is not the keyboard key, but rather, the left stick on a controller.
… yeah
So, just connect a controller and press the left stick. Any XInput controller will do.

CONTROLLER SPLIT SCREEN

The game switches to co-op mode as soon as you connect the controller, which can be… annoying. The fix is simple- have the controller plugged in before you boot up the game.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of LEGO Marvel Super Hero 2.
