Master of Luck is a bad, bad man. A new video has been uploaded in which he trolls various Call of Duty: Ghosts gamers online by way of the “Xbox Sign Out” method. The method is quite brilliant in its simplicity. Master of Luck simply entered into various Xbox Live Call of Duty Ghosts games under the handle “Xbox Sign Out”.

So, when he was trolling people in-game, they would often yell at him via voice chat, saying things such as, “Get away from me, Xbox Sign Out!”

Master of Luck is clearly familiar with the Xbox One’s voice commands, as his game handle happens to be the exact command needed in order to prompt the sign out screen. So when gamers get mad and yell his username, they accidentally prompt their own sign out screen. Some actually go all the way and sign out before they realize what’s happened, and others catch themselves and become infuriated once they recognize the prank that’s been pulled on them.

All in all this makes for a hilarious video, and a really innovative troll. Well done, Master of Luck. Well done indeed.

Also suggests getting your voices heard by Microsoft.

In conversation with Gamer Fit Nation, a Microsoft spokesperson talked about the current state of Kinect and the Xbox One, and how both will improve over time as most consoles do.

Answering a question about whether disc ejection would have a voice command, the spokesperson stated that, “Voice command for ejecting discs is not a feature we’re supporting at this time. Xbox One launched with a comprehensive library of Kinect voice commands for the most commonly used voice commands. We’re always listening and taking feedback from our customers, but don’t have any specifics to share at this time on future voice updates.”

As for how Kinect will improve over time, “We’ve completely re-engineered Kinect to take full advantage of all that Xbox One can do. It’s more precise, more responsive, and more intuitive, and we plan to improve the experience in the future. Additionally, we’re continuing to improve the voice models over time as we get more usage information from our customers.

“The Xbox One will upgrade over time, as most consoles usually do. If Microsoft’s answers are any indication of what the future may hold for the Xbox One and its Kinect voice controls, it might be time that fans get their voices heard.”

The Xbox One has been doing fairly good business since launch, even if it’s lagging behind the PS4 according to analysts and sales figures. What does the future hold? We’ll of course have to wait to find out.

Here's a handy guide for Kinect users.

Click to see in full screen.

The Xbox One is finally available worldwide across 13 territories worldwide, and this means that Kinect is also available. And for those who don’t know, this also means that you’ll finally have a chance to try out the various voice commands that the device has to offer, especially considering the new Snapping mode and ability to run several apps at once.

A new image has arrived which showcases all the voice commands and their functions, in case you needed a handy guide for the same. Check it out above.

The Xbox One has seen a fairly good response worldwide, despite hardware problems that have emerged. The device’s integration with Kinect makes it stand out very well, but will that be enough to help it excel past the PlayStation 4? We’ll find out in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, what is your impression of the Xbox One thus far? Are you satisfied with its functionality thus far?

Let us know in the comments below.

Find out more about the intricacies of the Xbox One.

It’s November at last and the Google Nexus 5 is here at last. However, we’ve still got a few weeks to go before the release of the Xbox One. So how about some new details on how much of a digital game you need to download before being able to play it, home theatre set-ups and whether Kinect will support custom voice commands?

All these details come by way of a confirmed Xbox One dev on Reddit (some of you may know him better from here). When a user asked how long it would take for digital games to install, it was pointed out that you can play games while they’re downloading, just like on the PS4. However, according to the dev, “It would depend on the game. I can’t tell you which ones but from what I’ve seen, some could be played after 15%, others had to go to 75%.”

The dev also outlined the ideal home theatre set-up for users. “PC -> X1 -> Receiver -> TV. This is the setup I’ve been using at home. I see no visible lag using the PC via HDMI in. The Xbox will turn on/off both receiver and TV after you go through TV/devices setup. Volume controls on the receiver are available via voice. I have not seen input switching via voice, though that might get added.”

It has also been revealed that the voice commands for Kinect are currently fixed, and you won’t be able to add your own…at least, that’s what the current scenario seems to be. “Currently the voice commands are fixed. I don’t think we’ll implement custom voice commands. I don’t know. Volume control is a preset amount. On my receiver, it goes up or down 1 dB. This might change as we determine other methods.”

In regards to IR codes, the dev stated that, “We have codes for almost every major brand of TVs, AV receivers, cable boxes etc., including different models. Most manufacturers use the same IR code for all their models of a specific type of device. However, there currently isn’t a means for the device to learn new IR codes. I don’t have a list of all types of devices supported but currently, there’s no ability to record new codes.”

The Xbox One will launch on November 22nd across 13 territories worldwide. What are your thoughts on these new details? Let us know in the comments below.

"Zero lag", indeed.

The more things change, the more they stay the same?

According to an IGN, at the reveal of the Xbox One, whenever Yusuf Mehdi would give a voice command to the Xbox, his left hand would go to his pocket. Oddly enough, if you go back and view the presentation video, it’ll be hard to spot a single instance of Mehdi with both his hands out when giving voice commands.

Naturally, some of us assumed that this was the case since, being the worldwide reveal of a next generation console, you don’t want anything to go wrong. But is it fair to market the response and instantaneous feedback of the device when it’s caked in smoke and mirrors?

Microsoft is no stranger to this phenomenon – check out when it first revealed the Kinect at E3 2010, with actors who were following on-screen movements rather than actually having their gestures recognized (ditto for Lionhead Studios’ Milo and Kate, shown at the time).
