Both remasters feature visual updates (including updated hand-painted art to switch to at any time), widescreen support, and uncompressed versions of their soundtracks. Health bars, indicators for hotkeys and the ability to select more units have also been added to the controls. However, they also have some unique qualities, like Warcraft: Remastered featuring brand new concept art alongside its classic pieces.

Warcraft 2: Remastered features the expansion, Beyond the Dark Portal, and support for up to eight-player co-op in multiplayer maps. You can also join custom lobbies or host your own, though Battle.net is required to play online.
