Eugen Systems’ Wargame Red Dragon, after a fairly solid launch on the PC, is now heading to the Mac. The full version can be picked up from Steam and what’s more, the multiplayer is cross-platform compatible. If you want to face off against PC or Linux users while playing on the Mac, you can very well do that.

If that weren’t enough, you can even download the game for the Mac if you already own a PC or Linux version. Conversely, Mac and Linux users can also download the game on PC should they switch to a Windows machine. Buy the game once and you won’t ever have to worry about picking it up again.

Eugen Systems also announced that from June 13th to June 16th, you’ll be able to buy Wargame Red Dragon at a 33 percent discount. You can also pick up the Wargame Franchise Pack, which will include AirLand Battle and European Escalation along with Red Dragon, for 40 percent off.

Along with the ground and air combat from the previous games, Red Dragon will see naval combat added to the mix. The warships aren’t just meant to be additional units, as a new layer of strategy can be exploited by commanders who are wily enough. The setting has also shifted to Asia and there are over 650 new units for 1450 units in total. The battlefields have been significantly layered to allow for more strategic options and a dynamic campaign has been added. You’ll be able to play with up to 20 players at the same time.

If you played AirLand Battle and pre-order Wargame Red Dragon, you’ll receive a 25 percent discount, even with one day left for the game to launch.

Eugen Systems upcoming real time strategy war title Wargame: Red Dragon is now available for pre-order on PC. If you pre-order the game, you’ll gain immediate access to the beta from which you can start participating in multiplayer battles.

Even better, as the early access beta is underway, Eugen Systems will continue to add new content to game up until its release. That means new maps, naval units and warships along with a new dynamic campaign system.

The main campaign will center around NATO and the Warsaw Pact, though there will be some other coalitions to choose from.
