We Are OFK Launches August 18th for PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch

Narrative series We Are OFK is out on August 18th for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developer Team OFK released a new trailer announcing the same – check it out below. This follows its previous announcement of a Summer 2022 release.

The story is set in Los Angeles and focuses on looking for their big break in the music industry. One of them, Itsumi Saito, has come to the city after a break-up and struggles to manage her job, practice and social life. A chance encounter with a music producer could mean a turnaround though.

Each character’s social lives and relationships unfold across five weekly animated episodes (and lots of texting). There are also five interactive music videos featuring debut tracks by the band OFK. A physical edition for the game is currently available to pre-order on PS5 and Nintendo Switch for $29.99 along with a 2xLP vinyl soundtrack for $41.99 courtesy of iam8bit.

We Are OFK Announced for Nintendo Switch, New Trailer Released

Previously announced for PS4, PS5 and PC, Team OFK’s narrative series We Are OFK has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch. These will launch alongside the other versions this Summer. In addition, a new trailer has been released which gives a bit more insight into the story. Check it out below.

It begins with Itsumi Saito moving to Downtown after a breakup to pursue a career in music, which is tough since she has to manage a full-time job, friends and practice. So when she encounters a rising music producer, this seems like the opportunity of a lifetime. The story is told through five interactive animated episodes released on a weekly basis.

There are also five interactive music videos performed by the indie band OFK. Along with fully-voiced dialogue, the title promises extensive texting to go with its emotional delivery. Stay tuned for more details on a release date in the coming months.

Stray and We Are OFK Releasing in Summer 2022

Along with bigger releases like God of War: Ragnarok, there are a fair number of indie titles coming to PlayStation platforms later this year. In a new tweet from PlayStation, it confirmed that Annapurna Interactive’s Stray and Team OFK’s We Are OFK will be launching in Summer 2022. Devolver Digital’s Cult of the Lamb arrives in Fall 2022.

Developed by BlueTwelve Studio, Stray focuses on a cat that’s been separated from its family and is left to fend for itself in a cybercity full of droids. Together with a small drone named B12, the cat seeks to unravel the mystery of the city and perhaps escape. We Are OFK focuses on the indie band OFK, detailing how they first met and eventually released a debut EP in Los Angeles. It comprises five interactive animated episodes along with five music videos with tracks performed by the band.

Cult of the Lamb is developed by Massive Monster and sees a possessed lamb saved from death and going on to build its own cult. This involves collecting resources and building structures, gathering followers, conducting rituals and eventually fighting off other cult leaders.

Stray and We Are OFK will be released for PS4, PS5 and PC. Cult of the Lamb is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Stay tuned for more details and definitive release dates in the coming months.
