Smash Bros. goes full HD.

Nintendo revealed the next Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS at yesterday’s Nintendo Direct during E3 2013. We got to see several of our favourite characters, including Mario, Link, Samus and Kirby make returns, along with getting a look at the new arenas and just how the 3DS version differs from the console version. We also got a look at new characters, Mega Man and the Villager from Animal Crossing.

But that’s not all: Another roster character has been revealed. Is it Solid Snake? Sonic the Hedgehog? Bayonetta? None of those actually – it’s the female trainer from Wii U Fit. Check out the reveal video below.

Nintendo has also confirmed that Super Smash Bros. will run in 1080p on the Wii U. That means a full HD experience for your friends as you smack each other around mercilessly. Super Smash Bros. is slated to release in 2014 for the Wii U and 3DS.
