A new report by prominent leaker billbil-kun on Dealabs has claimed that WRC 23’s launch has been pushed back from July into later in the year, and alongside that, the leaker has also revealed details on the game’s unlockable Achievements, the icons for which they leaked earlier in the year.

Interestingly enough, the leaked Achievements have revealed new details on the game, its modes, and more. Multiple Achievements mention Career Mode, while there’s also mention of Time Trial, Championship Mode, Rally School, Clubs, and Quick Play Online. Meanwhile, the Achievements also mention a new modes called Moments, which, presumably, will be similar to the challenge-based FUT Moments mode introduced in last year’s FIFA 23.

The Achievements also indicate that WRC 23 will feature a vehicle building component. Four vehicles that will be featured in the game – the MINI Cooper S, the Lancia Stratos, the Citroën Xsara WRC, and the Subaru Impreza 1995 – are also explicitly mentioned, as are seven rally events: Monte-Carlo Rally, Rally Italy Sardinia, Vodafone Rally Portugal, Rally Sweden, Iberian Rally, Rally Mexico, and Rally Estonia. It remains to be seen what the game’s full roster of vehicles and rally events will look lile.

In March, prominent leaker billbil-kun claimed that the title would be announced “soon”, and May, the leaker claimed that a launch date of July 28 had been set for the racing sim.

Now, however, in a new post published on Dealabs, the leaker claims WRC 23 has been hit with an internal delay. While the reason for the same isn’t mentioned, it’s stated that the game will now launch later in the year, sometime before November 1, though a specific release date is currently unknown.

Interestingly, the leaker also claims that WRC 23 will only be releasing for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC and will be skipping PS4 and Xbox One, making it Codemasters’ first game since the launch of new-gen consoles to not cross-gen. As per the leaker, it will come in two editions- Standard Edition and Champions Edition, with the latter also including the game’s first five post-launch seasons on top of the base experience itself.

Leaks have previously claimed that the game is expected to be announced soon, and now, prominent leaker @billbil_kun on Twitter has potentially revealed the game’s specific release date.

As per the leaker, the game will be officially titled WRC 23, and is expected to launch on July 28, a little over a couple of months from now. There’s no mention of which platforms it will be available for, but given the fact that Codemasters and EA’s upcoming F1 23 is set to be a cross-gen title, presumably WRC will be, too.

Either way, it seems safe to assume that an official announcement for the racing sim will be arriving in the near future. Back in March, @billbil_kun claimed that the game was “ready to launch” and would be unveieled “very soon”.
