Persona 3 Portable is finally getting remastered for Xbox and PC; Persona 4 Golden will be debuting on Xbox platforms; and Persona 5 Royal makes its long-awaited debut on PC and Xbox. Persona 5 Royal debuts first for the above platforms and Game Pass on October 21st, 2022. It’s the enhanced version of Persona 5 and features new content, a new playable character with Kasumi, new Ultimate Persona for each character, a new Palace, and much more. For fans who have never experienced the original, it’s a great place to jump in.

Persona 4 Golden is already available for PC via Steam but its Xbox release date is still to be confirmed. We’ll also need to wait for more details on Persona 3 Portable, namely its release date and whether it will come to Steam. Stay tuned for more in the coming months.

Insider Tom Henderson has indicated that Starfield (which will take up roughly 20 to 25 percent of the 95-minute runtime) and the next Forza Motorsport (reportedly coming in Spring 2023) will appear. But there hasn’t been much hard confirmation until now.

As spotted by The Verge’s Tom Warren, Microsoft Azure Specialist Paul T. recently posted on LinkedIn, “Viewers can expect appearances from anticipated Xbox-exclusive flagships like #Starfield, #ForzaMotorsport, #Redfall, and #Avowed. Xbox has a growing number of in-house studios, and with Bethesda’s teams now onboard, more franchises than ever will take to the virtual stage.”

So while not technically an announcement from Xbox Game Studios, this is the closest to official confirmation that we’ve received thus far. Other possible titles that could appear include Obsidian’s Pentiment, Stoic Studio’s Project Belfry, Oxide Games’ Project Indus, and Forza Horizon 5’s Hot Wheels expansion. Certain Affinity’s battle royale mode for Halo Infinite, codenamed Tatanka, could also be announced.

Bethesda’s Starfield is a major part of the show as per insider Tom Henderson. He noted in a recent stream that it would take up about 20 to 25 percent of the showcase (which has a runtime of 95 minutes).

However, it seems there could be a Persona-related announcement as well. At one point in the same stream, Henderson was asked if he had any news on Persona 5 Royal for PC. He responded, “I’m not going to leak the entire showcase” before laughing. This seems to imply that it could be coming to PC via Game Pass (and Steam as well). An Xbox release would make sense as well but there’s more.

The Snitch, a Twitter user who leaked the release date for The Last of Us Part 1, posted a rather cryptic tweet stating, “P3R5ON4.” This seems to indicate that Persona 3, 4 and 5 could also be at the showcase. If that weren’t enough, XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker retweeted The Snitch, saying “took them long enough” and outright spelling out that Persona 3, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal would be at the show.

Persona 4 Golden is already available on PC so it may be announced for Game Pass and potentially release for Xbox platforms. Persona 5 Royal could be bound for PC and Xbox while the rumored Persona 3 remaster may finally be revealed for the same platforms (and PlayStation as well, of course).

Insider Tom Henderson discussed the showcase in a new stream, though he’s not outright leaking the contents. Furthermore, while usually investigating and corroborating rumors that he hears, Henderson noted that these details are a mix of rumors and some things that he already saw or knew. Take it all with a grain of salt.

The first is Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield – it’s apparently set to have a big demo at the show, taking up 15 to 20 percent of the showcase (which he later increased to 25 percent “just to be safe”). Redfall is also seemingly appearing. Bethesda will have two more announcements to go with these though interestingly, it seems another company is showcasing even more titles than the former.

Overall, Henderson says there will be a lot of surprises with about 20 to 30 games present. He even indicated some “IP revivals”, which further fuels recent rumors of a Banjo-Kazooie revival. Though not outright saying it, he hinted that Obsidian’s Avowed won’t be there. Hideo Kojima will also supposedly be at the show, though it doesn’t seem like the recently leaked Overdose will appear. This could finally be the reveal of his Xbox project that’s been rumored since last year by VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb.

Microsoft has remained tight-lipped on what we can expect but Xbox Games marketing GM Aaron Greenberg has finally confirmed the show’s length on Twitter. It will run for 95 minutes.

As for what we can expect, Starfield director Todd Howard had previously promised a showing this Summer. With a recent Xbox Game Pass sign-up image indicating an early 2023 release, we may see a new release window in addition to gameplay. Then there’s the next Forza Motorsport, which has been in beta testing. Along with Xbox Series X/S, it’s reportedly coming to Xbox One.

Insider Tom Henderson noted that while it should appear (along with the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels expansion), it’s reportedly slated for release in Spring 2023. Other rumors like the appearance of Gears of War Collection, Stoic Studio’s Project Belfry, and Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed have also been circulating. However, as per VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, Fable and Perfect Dark won’t be present.
