Size does matter.

Nintendo is not stopping with the Amiibos anytime soon- rather, it looks like they are doubling down on them. Today, they announced that Yoshi’s Wooly World, which is already getting three, gorgeous, woolen yarn Yoshi Amiibos, will be getting yet another specially themed one- the Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo, which is a new mega-sized version of the Yarn Yoshi amiibo.

This new Amiibo is so far the single biggest toy in Nintendo’s line of Amiibos yet. The Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo releases on November 15th for $39.99. In spite of its massive size, it will still work with existing Wii U Gamepads, New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL models, and the Nintendo NFC reader for 3DS.

Yoshi’s Wooly World, meanwhile, launches October 16 in North America exclusively for the Wii U. It will sell for a reduced budget price of $50. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information on the game.

New gameplay footage reveals co-op and Poochy's return.

Yoshi’s Wooly World returned at E3 2015 with some very pleasing gameplay footage that showcased the game’s yarn-based art style. Nintendo provided some more information regarding the development process, including how the idea for having a yarn-based Yoshi came about.

Yoshi’s body in Wooly World has various abilities thanks to its yarn-based nature. You can knit platforms, convert enemies into yarn balls and much more. The game will be enjoyable but challenging if you try to achieve 100 percent completion. Those who want to have fun can simply run through the game and enjoy the ride while those seeking more challenges can go out of their way to find different collectibles.

Co-op gameplay was also showcased and Wooly World will also interact with different Amiibos to change the overall design of Yoshi. It also seems that Poochy makes a return to the game and somehow looks more adorable than before.

Yoshi’s Wooly World is out on October 16th 2016 for the Wii U.

Yoshi returns in a compelling new platformer.

Nintendo announced a new title for the Wii U with Yoshi’s Wooly World, a platformer that employs an art-style similar to Kirby’s Epic Yarn and uses some pretty cool gameplay elements in the process. Check it out above.

Wooly World sees the entire world including Yoshi being made of wool. This allows for new gameplay elements. The eggs you shoot can now take on different properties for different purposes such as tying up enemies. You can even team up with another player for different opportunities. It’s certainly unconventional and embodies that same cutesy tone that previous games are known for.

Yoshi’s Wooly World will be available in 2015 for the Wii U. What are your thoughts on the game along with the art style being so similar to Kirby’s Epic Yarn? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on Nintendo’s E3-oriented Nintendo Direct presentation in the next hour.

Update: Added Screenshots.
