Because you dont need a playstation to play those game. If you have a samsung smart tv or capable computer you dont need the console. You dont even need a dualshock controller. Isn’t that what you just alluded to? Why buy the console if i just bide my time and wait for it to come to ps now. Does that logic not even cross your mind?

how does that even compare to xbox anywhere. I was going to get xbox one for the few exclusives that they have or are going to have but now I don’t have to as I can play them on PC. That is different from PS Now, as those are PS3 games that are old, not this generation.

I’ll go with the affordable option, but by next year the 4K TVs that are expensive now will drop in price. I’m lookin for HDR, 50 inch, low input latency with gaming, and 240hz for fluidity. U know anything about latency in 4K TVs and how it can affect gameplay? I’m gonna have to do ma homework on that too. Thx for the info brother

HDR10 is more common definitely because while Dolby Vision is better solution than HDR, it’s a proprietary solution that film makers will have to pay a copyright fee just to use it. So at the current state, Dolby Vision is really meant for future proof and for early adopters who cares to spend money on a few good contents.

For me, I already own OLED TV from LG and UHD player from samsung both of which support HDR10 and DV. I am really satisfied with this combination and hope they serve me well until 8K TVs are out or something.

Assuming that you are planning to buy a new TV, you have two options. 1. Buy a somewhat affordable TV that support only HDR10 and upgrade to a better TV that support DV after it becomes more common in the future.
2. Buy an expensive high end TV now and enjoy with it.

Which format does most UHD BluRay discs use, HDR 10 or Dolby? Because basically I’m prolly gonna buy a 4K Samsung and grab the Scorpio, so that sounds like my devices will mainly be HDR supported if I’m correct? Which format is more widely supported?

That’s right. But keep in mind that your TV also has to support Dolby Vision which in my knowledge only LG’s oled and other latest models properly support it. Vizio’s latest model claims that they also support it but from what I heard, Vizio is not a reliable company that my local store won’t carry them.
What they told me is that Vizio is like a CLEVO in TV industries that they gather parts from third parties and reassemble them. So they may be cheaper, but their TV is really like third party TV assembled with another third party goods by another third parties.
