Complicated Authentication (think The Witcher 1). Authenticating with a server that was touchy at best and then (in the case of TW) having to re-authenticate upon downloading the patch using an even more hard-to-access server. But don’t worry: if you are having trouble authenticating on your computer, simply install it on a friend’s computer, authenticate it (assuming there’s a difference on his) and then copy the registy keys accross to your computer. Simple, right?

Good list but as the other commentors have said loss of connection should be on here. I can’t count how many times I’ve been given a 3 – 0 loss on pes 2011 due to a loss of connection. I’d also have falling for the hype when yet another game deemed a classic by every games mag and games site turns out to totally suck (yes I’m talking about Black Ops).

My number one most frustrating thing is connection issues – Halo in particular. When playing against US folk us UK lose out to connection lag all the time, more annoyingly you then get shot by some 12 year old child who then persists to ridicule you back in the lobby – not fun
