After releasing in March for Xbox 360 and scoring big on Xbox Live Arcade with its success, 505 Games’ Terraria is now available for PS3 via PlayStation Network for European and Australian gamers.
Originally developed by Re-Logic for PC, Terraria scored big on Steam and has thus enjoyed wide-spread success thanks to its mix of of open world sandbox gameplay (much akin to Minecraft), 2D platforming and near infinite replayability.
With 505 Games’ support, the console version of Terraria features new bosses, multiplayer features and extensive extra content. Of course, even though it features exclusive content aside from the PC version, Re-Logic has already stated that any updates for the latter will not be heading to the consoles. Nonetheless, it’s still a must-play experience for those who have heard of the PC version.
Terraria is currently retailing for £11.99 on PlayStation Network. It also expected to release on the PlayStation Vita handheld this summer.
