Former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Cliff Martinez, who now composes music for movies (and apparently video games) might have accidentally let slip the existence of Far Cry 4. Yes, Ubisoft is making a sequel to one of their successful games. Shocking, I know.
“There’s a secret mission that I’m not completely on yet, it looks like I’ll also be doing a Soderbergh TV series called The Knick, and I’m working on a video game called Far Cry 4,” he said in an interview with movie website Lost In Multiplex, reports Eurogamer.
Ubisoft hasn’t been shy of talking about a potential Far Cry 4 themselves, and they have often hinted at the project. Far Cry 3 was a break out hit for them last year, critically acclaimed and a commercial success as well. The game’s story, expansive gameplay, and character Vaas all became a rage online as well.
A potential Far Cry 4, if it exists, would probably be released on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Maybe on the Wii U as well, considering Ubisoft’s support for the platform.
We’ll have more on this for you as it develops.
