If you play with mods like Perkus Maximus, Apocalypse Spells, Wintermyst Enchantments and Immersive weapons/armour then you'll find that the gameplay can be improved greatly. And that's the beauty of elder scrolls games; you aren't limited to just what the company makes, the fan-made addition to the games are legitimate, incredible and worthy of due respect. TESO will in no way harm the future sales of the elder scrolls 6 when it is finally released

In reply to Joseph Archer. I never really cared much about TESO, the only TES games (to me) are the SP ones, with perhaps a MP element, but it’s not really needed (imho).

Shadows of Mordor and games like it won’t threaten games like Fallout.

Fallout and The Elder scrolls aren’t linear like Shadows of Mordor.

in everything but graphical tricks skyrim is the weaker elder scrolls game… and TESO may have handily killed the franchise. Oblivion was a step in the right direction, if Bethesda can’t maintain itself as the frontrunner in the genre another roguelike game or series will eventually steal their thunder. Games like Shadow of Mordor should make them very nervous
