The Elder Scrolls Online Will Let You Be Emperor of Cyrodiil

Here's how you do it, and this is what it means.

The Elder Scrolls Online, the upcoming MMORPG set in the rich world of The Elder Scrolls games, will let players be the Emperor of Cyrodil, the full game world that these games take place in, as the developers announced today.

“Players who become Emperor will get a full skill line that they keep throughout the rest of their lives in The Elder Scrolls Online,” game director Paul Sage observed. “It won’t be easy to become Emperor, but we think people will be glad they worked for it.” Lose the title of Emperor, and your hard-rocking Imperial skills won’t be quite as effective, but you’ll still be a force on the battlefield.”

The only way to become an Emperor will be via PvP play, so keep that in mind if this is something you want to try and gun for. Of course, as Sage cautioned, it won’t be easy, so keep that in mind as well.

The game releases this year for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will also have Mac OS X support.
