How the hell can you say Halo and God of War are no longer top franchises and then go ahead and compare them to multiplatform games that can reach a much wider audience?

Halo is a critically acclaimed and the best selling exclusive FPS franchise thus making it one of the top franchises in gaming.

God of War is Sony's most critically acclaimed franchise and is not only the best selling exclusive hack 'n slash franchise but it's the biggest franchise in the genre ever thus making it a top franchise.

Just because Halo doesn't outsell Call of Duty which is available on all platforms doesn't mean it's not a top franchise, God of War and Assassins Creed aren't even in the same genre but even if they were God of War is a franchise is exclusive to just one company whilst the other is on multiple platforms so comparing their popularity is moronic and trying to say God of War isn't a top franchise is damn right slander.

Also individually none of the Assassins Creed games on a single format have outsold God of War 3 (sold 5.2m in June 2012), so imagine if God of War was multiplatform? The same with Halo.

I can't believe a writier for a game site thinks an exclusive game has to outsell a popular multiplatform game in order to qualify as a top franchise.
